Actually that's pretty much American comedy in a nutshell.
Truly, Monty Python were ahead of the game in every conceivable aspect. Sketch comedy troupes have only attempted in vain to create what these six men perfected so many years ago. They deserve as much respect and adulation as one can attribute to people of such high calibre. I salute them for the contributions to humanity, as they may never be equalled.

Can't really think of any, Brooklyn Nine Nine tries and sometimes succeeds. But it's not what I would call funny, more tolerable, same with Modern Family. Good for a watch while eating lunch, but nothing that will make you audibly laugh.
