Black Sails is just consistently great. Every next season is better than the previous, they did every final right and even though there are few shit characters the overall cast is good enough that they can afford to kill off your favourite character without a quality dip.
GoT was better when they stuck with the books. Now it's hit and miss and the pacing is a mess, but the scale saves it for me.
