The way Homer reacts after finding out he only has a short time to live is very low key and not the screaming madman you'd expect him to be from the recent seasons. He tries to set everything right, spends time with his family, tries to be the strong one...
I just love this as to me it demonstrates how much heart the show used to have and how it didn't have to rely on insane premises before it degenerated into a chaotic, joke-fulelled mess.
