The first 10 films on that list are very well known among anyone who has the slightest knowledge in film. Stay pleb.

Watch more films, faggot.

If you cannot recognize at least 10 films on that list, you need to leave this board.
>>
>>70374436
Can't really take issue with this too much when you have three of his best films at the top.
>>
>>70374143
> Blood Simple

that high, my man you are patrician I have douchbag friends who "love the Coens" [read: like Fargo, TBL and pretend to get NCfOM] but have never heard of Blood Simple.

>Inside Llewellyn Davis
>Llewellyn
At least learn the titles of the movies you're going to pretend to have seen before making your "objective" lists.
>>
Inside Llewyn Davis is my personal favorite, but yeah I everyone agrees Lady killers and Intolerable Cruelty are the worst.
>>
>>70377245
Intolerable Cruelty gets a bad wrap, honestly. It's a pretty good modern facsimile of your classic Hawks/Capra screwball comedy, and Clooney is perfectly cast. It's just that it's so minor compared to the rest of their stuff.

The Ladykillers though, that was a misstep.
>>
>>70374403
>first 10
More like the first 12. Why are you even posting on a film board if you've never heard of Blood Simple?
>>
>>70374351
1. Collateral
2. Miami Vice
3. The Insider
4. Heat
5. Blackhat

10. Last of the Mohicans
11. The Keep

Is Hail Caesar there most underrated film? or is it simply an expectation thing were I watched it being told it was lousy by many people before hand so I wasn't expecting much and it turned out to be good ?
>>
>>70374143
>"O' Brother Where Art Thou?" behind "The Big Lebowski".
Wew lad.
>>
>>70378272
Never take /tv/'s opinion seriously. Hail Caesar is pretty well regarded critically.
>>
>>70378687
I was also going off the lousyish IMDB rating, thanks for bringing that up tho, I looked it up had no idea it had an 85% RT. I guess critics like films especially satires about the industry they failed it.

Reminder that Clooney got sick of always being an idiot in their movies after Burn After Reading and asked them to be anything else next time, and they never cast him again. His ego can't handle that his best performances are when he's a buffoon.
>>
>>70379908

>The Man Who Knew Too Much
Is this a troll thread? Pretty sure that's an Alfred Hitchcock film

Also, if you're talking objective ranking for Coen's
1. No Country
2. Fargo
3. Big Lebowski
4. Raising Arizona
The rest are just films they "tried" to do something new with film or camera or something.
The 4 I listed are objectively perfect, in which they films inbetween could be considered practice to make the good one.
>>
>>70379363
I'd put Mouth higher, but other than that it's pretty much perfect.
