Need tips for actually -good- dystopia movies/shows. Seen pretty everything out of mainstream media and a ton of second tier (read shit) zombie movies.

Give me your favorites and I'll check it out if I haven't seen it.

Cheers!

Apocalyptic, 'mind-openers', clever, survival. Survival probably is key.
I don't really care for the romatic sub-plot.

Yes, yes. But like 90% are complete and utter shit? No?
>>

Yeah, this.

But, here are the essentials, anyways.
>Planet of The Apes
>Zardoz
>Soylent Green
>The Omega Man
>Logan's Run
>A Boy and His Dog
>Mad Max
>The Road Warrior
>The Running Man
>Blade Runner
>Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome
>Waterworld
>12 Monkeys
>The Postman
>28 Days Later
>Children of Men
>The Book of Eli
>Elysium
>Mad Max: Fury Road

And I'm sure there are some more that I'm missing.

The Road. Some sad shit, and I loved speculating what caused the cataclysmic events.

It's good, don't hesitate, soundtrack by Piero Piccioni, I think, is pretty good if you are into that 60's-70's Italian stuff.

FUCK, I knew I forgot one

I was a sailing instructor back in the day, and I always coveted the hell out of the mariner's boat.

I'd also argue that Waterworld was the direct inspiration for Fury Road, both in tone, scale, and plot.
