In all honesty it's a great moment. Perfectly demonstrates Tony's ultimate enemy in his ego, sets up potential sequels and excites the audience.
It being immediately followed by all those excited questions and a quick cut to Black Sabbath worked really well. There was a reason Iron Man kickstarted the capeshit phase.
It was a very entertaining movie.
