GoldenEye shows Bond struggle against a former friend (006). That's the kind of stuff Bond needs, some stakes, some kind of emotional weight, a reason to keep watching. Otherwise the movies just become lazy rehashes.
Craig's stuff was great but hopefully Tom Hiddleston's bond can be a bit more comedic while also being a in movie with emotional weight.

Goldeneye has aged really poorly, there's some good stuff but I think there's some serious nostalgia going on for it.
TWINE is actually pretty good and probably my second favorite Brosnan film. It has some second to none action sequences that are both spectacles and still plausible (looking at you Die another day), the plot is engaging, its got enough twist that critics actually complained it was too complex, and Sophie Marceau is hot as hell. It also has the best bond theme since live and let die. The worst thing is obviously Denise Richards, who still isnt close to as bad as, say, Halle Berry (the worst of all time) or the whore from A view to a kill.
Die Another Day is still irredeemable trash, the only thing going for it is it has an actual diamond powered satellite which is perpetually endearing for its absurdity.
The actual best brosnan film is Tomorrow Never Dies. It's aged marvelously, the action all still stands up, the plot somehow feels more relevant in 2016 than it did back in 1997, and the chinawoman sidekick as bond's equally competent compatriot is done infinitely better than with halle berry. It took all the bond elements of luxury, crazy villains, travel, action setpieces, etc, and transferred them perfectly into modern times.
