6/7/8/9 were all pretty decent. Like any show it has it's good episodes and it's bad episodes. People give it more shit than it deserves because each episode is set after the other so the bad episodes have more of an effect on the season as a whole. Don't let /tv/ discourage you. Season 6 is bretty good with silly parts. Dr. Prince Bashir Martell steals the show in every scene.
The movie is awful and can be skipped without missing anything important at all except that the #2 bad guy from the next season is in it.
Season 7 is pretty awful and only Bill Buchanan redeems any of it.
Season 8 is the best since 5 and a great ending for the series.
