Sometimes Kickass receives copyright notices and they have to remove the torrent. In that case you will have to find another mirror of the otrrent file on anotehr website. Piratebay doesn't remove anything however not everything gets added their either.

Not true. You can buy Chinese hardware for $50-100 with ASIC chips that record natively to x265. With new hardware (not necessarily high-end, expensive stuff) it's not a particularly inconvenient standard to encode to.
