What podcasts do you listen to /tv/?
Mine are picture related 1/2
2/2
What movie podcasts are good?
How is this Television & Film, you dumb phonecuck?
>>70277982
Podcast threads happen a couple times a week newfriend
Can we talk about the fact that The Biggest Problem in the Universe just ended abruptly with no mention of its cohost?
>>70277569
I've been getting into The Black Tapes and Alice Isn't Dead. Got a thing for paranormal shit.
Welcome to nightvale is terrible, OMG SO QUIRKY, horseshit and fuck all of you who recommended it in the last thread.
I listened to 5 episodes while working and couldn't figure out why I was getting violently angry until I realized it was a show for coddled children and Europeans.
Did I get trolled and you recommended The Big Bang Theory of podcasts to me just to hurt me?
>>70278395
Which one of those would you recommend for someone who's skeptical and can't stand nerdy hosts?
>>70277982
Podcasts and youtube are officially /tv/ you nigger newfag, pls go
>>70278523
Well, both really.
Alice Isn't Dead is a trucker telling the story of her search for her wife through radio dispatches (don't worry it's not too SJW-y). It's kinda soothing, listening to her just recount the weird shit she's going through.
The Black Tapes is literally a ghost-themed podcast version of the X-Files. The host is like a younger-sounding Sarah Koenig, and the "Mulder" of the tale is a paranormal scientist who doesn't believe in ghosts.
>>70278808
Are there any podcasts of conspiracies and paranormal stuff being investigated factually?
>>70278473
>the big bang theory of podcasts
Now that's a little harsh.
In any case, it really isn't for everyone, so I can respect your decision. The whole randomness thing gives way a little later when they start focusing on legit unsettling shit (A Story About You is one of their best).
>>70279003
Nothing that I know of, but I'm sure it exists somewhere.
>>70277569
hollywood handbook is GOAT
>>70277834
literally none
I don't really listen to many. My Brother My Brother and Me is my favorite. Also The Adventure Zone but I don't really like nerd stuff.
Movie related I love You Must Remember This. It's so interesting and informative and Karina Longworth has great presentation. Other movie podcasts I like are Trash Twins and Travis Bickle on the Riviera but those are infrequent listens.
>>70278394
Motherfucking Maddox, man.
>>70280953
You'd like uhhhh yeah dude
No Moth radio hour OP? I love that show.
biggest problem in the universe ended today because maddox couldnt handle the banter
>>70278473
I actually sort of agree with this. I went in really wanting to like WTNV, but the kind of humor is just a little too stupid for me, and the clever moments were too few and far between.
>>70277834
Not strictly a movie podcast, but Gilbert Gottfried's podcast is GOAT for old horror/sci-fi movie discussion
>>70279003
The episode of JRE with Rupert Sheldrake.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZklRSn92ek4
Just stumbled on this while getting that:

Might be good.

Worst Idea of All Time
Nerdist sometimes have megastar movie actors. The host's questions are soft as shite and they think they're funnier than they are, but they let the guest talk and it's interesting to listen to an hour of Tom Cruise or Arnold Schwarzenegger shooting the shit.
I like IQ2US
haven't really found anything else
>>70277569
Sleepycast is great, not a movie podcast, but the hosts are animators
>>70277834

Travis Bickle on the Riviera

the Bill Burr podcast
The Adventure Zone is great. three brothers and their dad play D&D, and it's cozy as hell
this is a clip with animation by a fan, but you can ignore the animation and just listen to get a pretty good idea of the tone.

this is the only good one I've come across.
http://filmjunk.com/podcast/
It's been a regular for me for about 3 years now. Every week. Same 3 Canadian guys. 3 hours of laid back movie discussion. It's funny, but not forced, No raised voices. One of the guys is a small time director called Jay Cheel.
Here's a sample
http://ia902205.us.archive.org/31/items/filmjunk250/filmjunk250.mp3
>>70277569
>literally googled "best podcasts" and downloaded all of them
>>70285894
Jay Cheel is a bit of a tool but the other guys are alright
>>70277569
>>70277605
wow so fucking edge m8..
Don't forget to gargle grass fed horse cum whilst you shoot your arm fill of nootropics with the kettle bell up your ass.
Listen man, I get it.
I went through a podcast phase. We all know where you got the idea for half of those subs.
You're a cog in the future 'informed person' machine. If you really listen to these daily, think about all the psuedo-new age indoctrination that gets shoved into your head under the guise of being counter-culture.
Unplug man, unplug.
>>70285051
Good shit minus the JRE and Nerdist, fucker.
>>70286231
This isn't terrible advice.
>>70286296
I've only ever listened to those two when they have a guest I particularly liked.
Do I love Chris Hardwick? No.
Will I put up with his shit if it means I can listen to an interview with Schwarzenegger? Yes.
>>70277569
>>70277605
All those history and comedy podcasts, and no dollop podcast?

>>70290950
>>70289763
Yeah they're pretty chill to listen to, bear with them though the first couple podcasts are really short and they dont dedicate a lot of time. It gets better as you go forward
Bill Burr
Dan Carlin
I rip director's commentaries and listen to them as podcasts
