I genuinely don't know if people have trouble comprehending that the USA is a predominantly white nation and it is natural for a society to portray itself in their stories, or if they do understand but pretend not to to give them something to complain about. Maybe it's just yet another example where people straight up resent white people for existing and are trying to erase as much as that as possible through media?
