There's really good reason to be skeptical of vaccines, especially when they're given out wholesale to everyone born regardless of whether or not they actually ever need it.
Not just the cost and resources, but viruses and diseases evolve and change to survive, just like any other organism. Doctors all over the world have been warning for years that vaccines and antibiotics have been so grossly overused that it's only a matter of time before viruses and diseases respond and evolve to the point that all medicine we know of is completely useless.

Flue vaccines are useless, but do not affect in the same ways antibiotics do. Al other vaccines have shown substantial evidence that they work and have reduced the population of measles, polio etc. to negligable

viruses are fundamentally parasitic in nature, they need hosts to survive and reproduce. The fewer the hosts, the better. That means the more people vaccinated, the better, as there's less opportunities to reproduce and mutate. In contrast, many pathogenic bacteria can survive and reproduce on their own in the environment before infecting a human. Additionally antibiotics only curtail the disease, they aren't preventative in nature. That means antibiotics kill 999/1000, whereas vaccines stop the virus from proliferating in the first place as it trains the immune system to react immediately.
