The sequel is bonkers and fun as hell with some really memorable characters, but it isn't "good". Just like there is no "good" Friday the 13th film. They're all cheesy garbage. Great cheesy garbage, but cheesy garbage nonetheless.
Same goes for TCM2. I love it, but the first one is a legitimately movie and an exceptional horror one.
