No fucking idea to be honest. Maybe you'd have to have lived in a previous soviet state to get the subtle aspects of the film or something.
Great atmosphere though. If you like video games I can recommend the STALKER series of video games which are very loosely based on the atmosphere of the shadow of the basic thought behind the film.
