In honor of the new movie.

X-MEN (2000)

>In 1989, Carolco Pictures approached Kathryn Bigelow to direct the movie, with James Cameron as executive producer, a script by Andrew Kevin Walker and Bob Hoskin in advanced talks to play Wolverine, but the project was scrapped when Carolco went bankrupt, and the rights were eventually acquired by 20th Century Fox in 1992.

>Walker's script was scrapped, and 28 drafts were submitted by multiple writers between 1992 and 1996, among them Joss Whedon and Michael Chabon. The final script was written by Ed Solomon based on a story by Bryan Singer and producer Tom DeSanto, with uncredited revisions by Christopher McQuarrie and David Hayter.

>Richard Donner was Fox's original choice to direct the movie, but he declined. Robert Rodriguez and Tim Burton were also approached, and Brett Ratner, John McTiernan, Irvin Kershner, Stephen Hopkins, Danny Boyle and Joel Schumacher were also considered before Bryan Singer was hired.

>Early drafts included Beast as a member of the X-Men and Pyro and Blob as members of the Brotherhood of Mutants, in addition to the Danger Room, but all of these elements had to be scrapped due to budget conflicts.

>In early drafts, Cyclops' and Storm's backstories are revealed: Cyclops' mutation manifested during his high school prom, when he destroyed the bathroom with his optic blasts, while Storm's manifested when she was surrounded and pelted with rocks by other children in her village in Kenya, accidentally summoning a blizzard that nearly swept the villagers.

>In early drafts, Magneto was indeed after Wolverine, as Adamantium was needed to power the machine that turned humans into mutants. Singer later decided to have Magneto be targeting Rogue instead.

>Russell Crowe was Singer's first choice to play Wolverine, but declined due to salary issues. The studio's top choices were Keannu Reeves and Gary Sinise. Edward Norton, Kiefer Sutherland, Aaron Eckhart and Viggo Mortensen were also considered before Dougray Scott was cast. However, he was forced to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with last-minute additional photography for MISSION IMPOSSIBLE II and was replaced by Hugh Jackman at Crowe's behest. Jackman was cast three weeks into filming.

>Thomas Jane was Singer's first choice to play Cyclops, but declined. Edward Burns and D.B. Sweeney auditioned for the role before James Caviezel was cast, but he also had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with FREQUENCY and was replaced by James Marsden.

>Maria Bello, Peta Wilson and Lucy Lawless auditoned for the role of Jean Grey before Famke Janssen was cast.

>Angela Bassett and Jada Pinkett-Smith were approached to play Storm before Halle Berry was cast.

>Natalie Portman, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Christina Ricci were approached to play Rogue, but declined. Rachael Leigh Cook and Katherine Isabelle auditioned for the role before Anna Paquin was cast.

>Terence Stamp and Christopher Lee were considered for the role of Magneto before Ian McKellen was cast.

>Jeri Ryan auditioned for the role of Mystique before Rebecca Romjin was cast.

>Triple H auditioned for the role of Sabretooth before Tyler Mane was cast.

>At one point, the studio considered giving the X-Men their classic colorful uniforms from the comics, but Singer and studio both believed that black leather uniforms would be easier to producer, and more realistic and aesthetically pleasing.

>Production was fraught with issues including script rewrites, unexpected delays and budget issues. Fox notoriously postponed the movie from Christmas 1999 to July 2000 and the rescheduled shooting caused several actors and crew members to drop out due to conflicts with other commitments.

>Fox was skeptical of the movie's potential and enforced several last-minute cuts to shorten the running time, almost completely deleting a subplot about Storm.

>Fox didn't account for the possibility of sequels, but Singer believed something should be set up to explore in potential future installments and instructed Famke Janssen to react to being exposed to Magneto's machine. Singer pinpoints that moment as the awakening of the Phoenix.

X2: X-MEN UNITED (2003)

>David Hayter and Zak Penn wrote two different scripts, both centered on the Legacy Virus, which were later combined and revised by Singer, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. Singer decided to not use the Legacy Virus in favor of an adaptation of "God Loves, Man Kills".

>In early drafts, William Stryker had several brainwashed mutant enforcers, including Sabretooth, Toad and Archangel, who would have Adamantium wings. Sabretooth and Archangel were removed due to budget issues, but Toad remained part of the script during multiple rewrites. Ray Park was even approached to reprise the role, and plans had already been made for a fight between him and Nightcrawler before the character was scrapped as well.

>In early drafts, Stryker's enforcer is Anne Reynolds, a human loyal to his cause. When the other enforcers were removed, she was made into Lady Deathstrike to inject more action in the third act of the movie.

>In early drafts, Wolverine would have a training session in the Danger Room. The sets were already being built and it was even included in the first teaser trailer before it was cut due to budget issues.

>In early drafts, Stryker would have a Sentinel at his disposal to target the X-Men at Alkali Lake, but the idea was scrapped both due to budget issues and because producer Tom Rothman thought giant robots were "stupid".

>In early drafts, Stryker's attack on the X-Mansion was longer and would've feature several students fighting back, including Colossus helping Wolverine throughout the fight, but this was scrapped due to budger issues.

>In early drafts, Kitty Pryde would escape the X-Mansion alongside Wolverine, Rogue, Iceman and Pyro, but was deleted for feeling superfluous to the narrative.

>In early drafts, Dark Cerebro would cause mutants across the globe to lose control of their powers, but this was cut due to budget issues. The scene included cameo appearances by Beast, becoming blue and furry as his colleagues watched in horror; and Gambit, who accidentally caused a deck of cards to explode at a bar in New Orleans. Steve Bacic would've played McCoy, and stuntman James Bamford had been lined up to play Gambit before the idea was scrapped.

>In early drafts, Wolverine's claws are revealed to be artifically implanted onto him by Weapon X, but this was changed at Marvel's behest, to not conflict with the comics, where Wolverine has bone claws.

>Anthony Hopkins was approached to play William Stryker before Brian Cox was cast.

>Steve Buscemi was Singer's original choice to play Nightcrawler, but declined. Neil Patrick Harris and Etham Embry also auditioned for the role before Alan Cumming was cast.

>Following her Oscar win, Halle Berry demanded a larger role, and the script was revised to make her the pilot of the X-Jet and later further revised to include a romantic subplot with Nightcrawler.

X-MEN: THE LAST STAND (2006)

>Singer, Dougherty and Harris drafted a script in which Jean returns at the Phoenix and attempts to end conflicts between humans and mutants in her own terms, with the X-Men trying to protect her, the Brotherhood of Mutants attempting to control her, and the United States government hellbent on destroying her.

>Singer's draft featured Emma Frost as Xavier's old flame who can control people's emotions and is recruited by Magneto to brainwash Jean; Gambit as a young thief who joins the Brotherhood, but later defects to the X-Men due to his attraction to Rogue; the Juggernaut as Magneto's new enforcer; and Bolivar Trask as the anti-mutant U.S. Secretary of Defense, in addition to larger roles for Kitty Pryde and Colossus.

>Singer planned to cast Channing Tatum as Gambit and Sigourney Weaver as Emma Frost, but plans were scrapped when he left to direct SUPERMAN RETURNS for Warner Bros Pictures and Fox decided to move on without him.

>Simon Kinberg and Zak Penn wrote a new draft based on Singer's ideas and added the mutant cure storyline to the narrative to give Magneto a stronger motivation to declare war on Humanity. Rothman was notoriously against the more outlandish aspects of the mythos and demanded that the cure receive major focus rather the the Phoenix, which was also made into Jean's malevolent split personality at his behest.

>Fox rushed the movie into production, leading to scheduling conflicts with several actors including James Marsden, Rebecca Romjin and Anna Paquin, which caused their characters to receive minor roles. Cyclops was nearly killed off-screen in-between movies due to Marsden's commitments with SUPERMAN RETURNS.

>Kinberng and Penn rewrote their script multiple times in accordance to Fox's demands, budget adjustments and scheduling demands, leading to a scattershot story.

>In early drafts, Wolverine and Storm developed a romantic relationship, but this was cut as it underscored Wolverine's relationship with Jean. At one point, a love triangle between Wolverine, Storm and Beast was discussed, as well as making Colossus gay and harboring feelings for Wolverine and a triangle between Rogue, Iceman and Kitty.

>In early drafts, Cyclops would return during the final battle.

>In early drafts, Mystique would still be in league with Magneto, providing his location to the military to lead them into a trap, and would be by his side after he lost his powers.

>In early drafts, Rogue would seemingly defect to the Brotherhood in order to secretly spy on them for the X-Men.

>In early drafts, Beast, Iceman and Kitty Pryde would infiltrate Worthington Labs to investigate the cure, and Iceman and Kitty would later rescue Warren Worthington Sr. from Magneto's enforcers during a high-speed car chase.

>In early drafts, Angel would join the battle against the Brotherhood after rescuing his father, but get taken down when Magneto slashes one of his wings with a piece of shrapnel.

>In early drafts, Gambit would be one of Magneto's recruits, but later defect during the final battle while the X-Men and the Brotherhood are fighting.

>Early drafts featured several scrapped fights including Colossus VS. Juggernaut, Rogue VS. Juggernaut, Wolverine VS. Multiple Man, Storm VS. Phoenix, among others.

>In early drafts, the Sentinels would've been sent to stop Magneto during the battle at Alcatraz Island, but the idea was scrapped for budget issues.

>In early drafts, Alcatraz Island would be a maximum-security mutant prison which Magneto attacks halfway through the movie in order to recruit his army. The final battle would take place outside the White House in Washington, D.C., during which Iceman would freeze the Potomac River.

>In early drafts, Jean would destroy the entire city of San Francisco before Wolverine manages to kill her.

>Matthew Vaughn was set to direct the movie and cast Kelsey Grammer and Vinnie Jones as Beast and Juggernaut, but dropped out due to the troubled production. Joss Whedon and Alex Proyas were briefly considered before Brett Ratner was hired to replace him.

>Alan Cumming was approached to return as Nightcrawler, but declined as he was unwilling to undergo the laborous make-up process for such a minor role. He was then removed from the script, which Fox justified by claiming the audience would have trouble following three different blue characters.

>Maggie Grace was originally cast by Vaughn to play Kitty Pryde before Ratner replaced her with Ellen Page. Summer Glau and Eliza Dushku also auditioned for the role.

>Mike Vogel was approached by Vaughn to play Angel before Ratner replaced him with Ben Foster. Nick Stahl also auditoned for the role.

>Several alternative endings were shot, including Beast staying the the Xavier Institute to become a teacher and Storm welcoming human students into the school; and Wolverine leaving the X-Men to mourn Jean's death, returning to the bar where he met Rogue in X-MEN for one last drink.

>The movie's troubled production, coupled with Fox's belief that the superhero movie genre wouldn't last much longer, led to them regarding X-MEN: THE LAST STAND as the last movie in the main X-MEN film series, and investing in their spin-off series, X-MEN ORIGINS.

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE (2009)

>David Benioff wrote a R-rated script, which was later revised by Skip Woods and made into PG-13. David Ayer, James Vanderbilt and Scott Silver performed uncredited revisions.

>In Benioff's script, Logan is a feral young man from an impoverished family who lives in the Canadian wilderness in the 1950's and joins the military to avoid prosecution after slaughtering a group of local boys who had attacked him. He is assigned to William Stryker's unit in Vietnam and embraces his violent, animalistic side, but eventually regains his humanity and returns to Canada, prompting Stryker to set in motion a conspiracy to conscript him to Weapon X.

>In Benioff's draft, Sabretooth is not Wolverine's brother and is Stryker's enforcer.

>In Benioff's draft, Silverfox is one of Stryker's enforcers, although she develops genuine feelings for Wolverine and ultimately betrays Stryker.

>In Benioff's draft, rather than an elderly couple, Wolverine is rescued by a young couple, James and Heather Hudson, who are later murdered by Agent Zero at Stryker's behest.

>Team X, Deadpool and Gambit are not present in Benioff's draft, although the Blob appears as a former associate of Sabretooth's and John Wraith appears as Logan's old human army buddy. Beak is also featured as a young mutant murdered by Sabretooth, as well as two original characters, mutant mobsters Barbarus and Pantera.

>In Benioff's draft, Weapon XI is an army of clones of Sabretooth artifically infused with Wolverine's healing factor so they can survive the Adamantium bonding procedure. Wolverine proceeds to decapitate Sabretooth and slaughter his clones, but one of them escapes and goes on to become the Sabretooth that is later recruited by Magneto and featured in X-MEN.

>Deadpool, Gambit and Cyclops were added to the script to build interest for their own movies.

>Weapon XI would originally be Garrison Kane, a human operative from Team X, but Rothman decided to merge the character with Deadpool.

>Zack Snyder and Len Wiseman were approached to direct the movie before Gavin Hood was hired at Jackman's behest.

>Hood had a notoriously contentious relationship with Rothman due to Rothman's executive meddling, and nearly dropped out of production after Rothman ilegally rebuilt and recolored the Weapon X sets behind his back for make them brighter and more cleaner.

>Gerard Butler was approached to play Sabretooth, but declined.

>Liev Schreiber was originally approached to play William Stryker, but Jackman advocated that he be cast as Sabretooth. Once he was, Michael C. Hall was offered the role of Stryker, but declined, and Danny Huston was cast.

>Michelle Monaghan was originally cast as Silverfox, but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. After negotiations with Maggie Q fell throught, Lynn Collins was cast.

>Ryan Reynolds was notoriously coherced into playing Deadpool despite disagreeing with the movie's creative choices.

>Scott Adkins was originally cast as Garrison Kane. When Deadpool and Weapon XI were made into one character, Reynolds reshot close-up shots of Weapon XI in last-minute additional photography, while Adkins' fight scenes and faraway shots were kept, and he was credited as Reynolds' stuntman.

>Dominic Monaghan was originally approached to play Beak, but after the character was scrapped in rewrites, he was instead offered the role of Bolt, a minor character added to fill up the roster of Team X.

>A young Storm would originally appear in the scene where Team X slaughters a village in Africa in search of Adamantium, summoning a thunderstorm out of grief, but her scenes were cut from the movie.

>The young mutants featured in the movie were added as a potential backdoor into a YOUNG X-MEN spin-off.

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (2011)

>The project was originally envisioned as a spin-off centered on Rogue, Iceman, Kitty Pryde, Colossus, Angel and Jubilee.

>Josh Schwartz wrote a script centered on Professor Charles Xavier recruiting Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm and Beast to fight the government, but it was rejected by Fox for focusing too much on interpersonal drama at the expense of action.

>Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz wrote an alternative version centered on Xavier and Magneto building the X-Men during the Cold War, borrowing elements from Sheldon Turner's recently scrapped X-MEN ORIGINS: MAGNETO, which would've been directed by David S. Goyer. Their draft was later revised by Jane Goldman.

>Bryan Singer was approached to return, but declined due to scheduling conflicts, and Matthew Vaughn was hired instead.

>In early drafts, there was a love triangle between Xavier, Magneto and Moira McTaggert.

>In early drafts, Sunspot was a member of the Hellfire Club.

>In early drafts, the incident that led to Havok's imprisonment is revealed: He accidentally incinerated three hoodlums who had attacked his adoptive sister.

>Amber Heard auditioned for Mystique before Jennifer Lawrence was cast.

>Rosamund Pike auditioned for Moira McTaggert before Rose Byrne was cast.

THE WOLVERINE (2013)

>Christopher McQuarrie wrote an R-rated draft more faithful to the story arc, set in 1982, in which a directionless Logan is recruited by the Hand and becomes an enforcer for the Yashida Crime Family in Japan, but falls in love with Mariko Yashida, daughter of mobster Shingen Yashida, and must fight for her love. Other characters included Yukio, Logan's bodyguard and lover; Zen, Logan's master in the Hand; Elvis, an American mobster and Shingen's rival; Harada, Shingen's illegitimate son who wants to kill Wolverine to earn his father's love; Viper, an assassin and Harada's lover; and corrupt Chief of Justice Noburo.

>Darren Aronofsky was hired to revise the script and direct the movie, but ultimately dropped out due to scheduling conflicts and was replaced by James Mangold.

>Matt Bombach and Scott Frank revised the script, and although the final movie was rated R, Fox re-editied it to release it as PG-13.

>Mangold considered including Rogue as Wolverine's companion, but the idea was ultimately scrapped.

>Jessica Biel was approached to play Viper, but declined, and Svetlana Khodchenkova was cast instead.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST (2014)

>Matthew Vaugh was originally set to direct the sequel, set in 1963 and centered on the X-Men - Professor X, Havok, Polaris, Beast and Banshee - racing against time to prevent the Magneto and the Brotherhood - Mystique, Emma Frost, Azazel, Tempest and Riptide - from assassinating President John Kennedy for supressing mutants' roles in preventing the Cuban missile crisis.

>Singer returned after Vaughn left to direct KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE and decided to adapt the "Days of Future Past" storyline to bridge the two series, bringing back the original cast for one last movie.

>In early drafts, Jubilee was a member of the X-Men in the future.

>In early drafts, Havok was captured by Trask Industries and murdered by the Sentinels during a test run.

>In early drafts, Wolverine, Xavier and Beast would recruit Juggernaut to help them break Magneto out of the Pentagon. He'd be a dim-witted former student from the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters and be dropped into the Pentagon from a helicopter, tearing a hole through each floor under he reaches the underground section where Magneto is detained. He was later replaced by Quicksilver.

>In early drafts, Mystique would reunite with Xavier and Beast after in the end and being seen as a member of the X-Men in 2023.

>Early drafts included a post-credits scene where a meteorite crash-lands outside Magneto's hideout in Mexico and Apocalypse emerges from the crater and possesses Magneto, who then becomes Apocalypse.

>An entire subplot about rescuing Rogue from the X-Mansion overrun by Sentinels so she can replace Kitty as Wolverine's tether to the future was cut and later reintegrated to the movie in the "Rogue Cut", which also reinserted a subplot about Mystique returning to the X-Mansion after Paris and later deciding to leave again.

>Josh Helman was originally hired to play the Juggernaut. When the character was replaced with Quicksilver, Helman was instead cast as William Stryker.

DEADPOOL (2014)

>In early drafts, Wade is much more violent and unpredictable, and assassinates people rather than just volunteering his services as a bodyguard.

>In early drafts, Ajax's enforcers were Garrison Kane, Wyre and Sluggo.

>Negasonic Teenage Warhead in not included in early drafts, and Colossus is sent to arrest Deadpool rather than recruit him to the X-Men. He also volunteers to help Deadpool rescue Vanessa rather than being enlisted by Deadpool.

>Further rewrites added a trainee for Colossus. Originally, it was intended to be Cannonball, but the writers learned about Negasonic Teenage Warhead from a catalog of Marvel characters available to use and felt the need to include her.

>In early drafts, Deadpool becomes a mercenary after escaping from the Workshop and only finds out about Ajax two years later, after which he attempts to enact revenge. He doesn't believe Ajax can cure his condition.

>In early drafts, Weasel is Deadpool's weapons dealer, and they frequent a bar for mercenaries run by Patch.

>In early drafts, the final battle takes place at the derelict Workshop facility.

>Early drafts ended with a massive gunfight between Deadpool and Ajax and his men. Due to budget cuts, the scene could not be filmed, and the writers made it a joke that Deadpool forgets his bag of guns for the final battle.

>Early drafts included Cable, but this was scrapped due to budget issues and to focus on Deadpool.

>Olivia Munn was approached to play Vanessa, but declined in favor of playing Psylocke in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE and Morena Baccarin was cast.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE (2016)

>In early drafts, Wolverine would become the young mutants' drill sergeant and field leader and had a sizeable role, but this was scrapped to give Mystique more prominence.

>In early drafts, Xavier would be kidnapped by Apocalypse, who'd use his psychic powers to prepare the world for domination. This would effectively make Xavier the fourth Horseman, with Magneto, Storm and Angel as Apocalypse's other enforcers. Singer eventually felt the concept was not coming across and added Psylocke as a last-minute "official" fourth Horseman.

>Taron Egerton was offered the role of Cyclops, but declined. Jamie Blackley, Charlie Rowe, Timothee Chalamet and Ben Hardy auditioned before Tye Sheridan was cast. Hardy was later cast as Archangel.

>Chloe Moretz, Hailee Steinfeld and Elle Fanning auditioned for the role of Jean Grey before Sophie Turner was cast.

>Amber Stevens and Zendaya Coleman auditioned for Storm before Alexandra Shipp was cast.

>Tom Hardy and Idris Elba were approached to play Apocalypse before Oscar Isaac was cast.

>Although the Weapon X segment was always part of the script, Wolverine's breakout was added in post-production reshoots.

>Several scenes were deleted, notably a long segment of Cyclops, Jean, Nightcrawler and Jubilee going to the mall and getting into shenanigans.

>The ending of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" with Mystique rescuing Wolverine from Weapon X was added in reshoots based on notes from test-screenings. Singer effectively ignored, rationalizing that although Mystique let Wolverine go at that particular occasion in 1973, he was eventually captured in the ten year gap between the two movies.

Mystique impersonated Stryker in order to find Wolverine so she could let him go? She barely knew who Wolverine was, what sort of action was that to take?

Why didn't she just tell Charles where he was so that he could rescue him, why does she give a shit about him at all?

Why not just have Stryker recover him?

That sounds like bullshit to justify a stupid scene and maintain her as one of the 'good guys'.

Like, for example, I remember either Kinsberg or Penn trying to circle-jerk fans around regarding Cyclops' survival around the time the movie came out. Deliberately trying to mislead them when it came out that Scott was pointlessly killed due to pissing off Fox when Marsden jumped ship with Singer to do Superman returns.

>>70112612
The idea of setting it so close to the last one was smart. If the next film is set in the 90s, 30 years will have past and the actors will only look a few years older. Plus the Singer films barely take advantage of the period setting.

What kind of fucking stupid name is Tom Rothman? Somebody should beat him up.

Has anyone else gotten really fucking bored of the "mutants are gays, mutants are blacks" schtick yet. It's the most heavy-handed metaphor I've ever fucking seen

Can't wait for the VHS

Singer missed out on X-Men: The Last Stand to make a disappointing remake of Superman: The Movie, leaving another creative team to make a bad X-Men film. Then he comes back to make an exceptional second installment in the "rebooted" X-Men series, only to follow that up with a film as bad as X-Men: The Last Stand. What?

In the end all these flukes and bumps worked out.
There was a post about 10/10 cast choices and Famkee, Liev, Jackman, Berry and almost everyone mentioned were top choices.
The only big misses I could think of would be Sarah Michelle as Rouge, because she would've make a killer comeback in DoFP. Also (and this is my non biased non reddit opinion) Chloe Grace would be a bit better than Sansa. A 10/10 cast for me, would've been Saoirse Ronan. She's sleek, tall, and looks killer as a natural redhead.

Seeing as what the production teams have to put up with, budget cuts and whatnot, I think now even higher of Apocalypse, because the final battle was very well executed.

Really Apocalypse ended up being not bad even if it wasn't stellar, and it's easy to see the faults and how they could be fixed through things beyond the Director's power (budget, running time). Compared to other poorly reviewed movies where you're not only having to shore up directorial deficits, but also storytelling/plotting/writing issues.

Fixing BvS would involve writing new characterizations, cutting a lot and adding other scenes to make a coherent film. Apocalypse basically needed more character building to add some gravitas to who was doing the blowing up. Though probably nothing more than 20-30 minutes. Apocalypse's failings were more on the restrictions of the genre and the weight of being a summer tentpole blockbuster. BvS's failings were more on the incompetence of the director and writers.

Quiet! You'll wake up the DCucks!

Just kidding

Also, looking back on all of these movies, the MCU, and DC"U", truly, Days of Future Past is capekino.

The only thing I got out of this new movie was that Hugh Jackman was the glue holding this shit together. Fassbender and McAvoy are good, but this movie really didn't know what to do with Magneto and Xavier was just kinda chilling out for most of the film. And a lot of that can be blamed on them trying to force JLaw as the lead actor, when she is probably the one who phones in her performance the hardest.

I know some people seem to think that Robert Downey Jr is irreplaceable but honestly Jackman is probably more necessary for his film series than Tony Stark is at this point. And goddammit if you know Jackman isn't going to be popping up in anymore of these movies besides the next Wolverine movie than why would you put him in this movie? You are simply reminding people that the end is nigh

Don't ruin it for everyone else

but isn't wolverine only in 1 part of the movie when he escapes?
I haven't seen it...you can just answer with a simple yes or no I guess
>>
>>70117694
yes, and it only just dawns on me six hours after watching it that the scene is a continuation from the last movie.
>>
>>70112574

i thought this was a good movie right up until the final act and it went to shit
>>
>>70117731
In DOFP it was mystique pretending to be stryker that took wolverine

The movie just drops that and gives him the original weapon x backstory
>>
>>70117798
Both wolverine movies were pretty boring and went to shit easily

maybe because I saw the pre-release version of origins where all the fxs are barely there
but even after I saw the movie on bluray it still wasnt satisfying

>>70116461
He's the worst executive in hollywood, which is saying something.
>>
>>70117857
Huh, I totally forgot that. But then again the last time I saw DoFP was on it's release day. This movie was by far the weakest of the new cast X-men, there is no mystery to anything that happens, mostly because you get to see what Apocalypse is doing every 15 minutes. He and his troupe barely do anything until the end of the movie, and even then the Horsemen turn out to be kind of a joke.
