Reynolds isn't very funny in general and unsurprisingly he isn't funny in this either. His comedic timing is poor at best and it didn't help him that the script is so poorly written and uninspired. He simple has no charisma as an actor, and just comes across as an annoying screen presence, rather than a funny one.
The action is bland, the CGI is terrible, and the supporting characters completely uninteresting. It runs through the motions, and occasionally making a joke about how you're going through the motions doesn't make it any better. It pretends to shirk conventions by making light of them, but really most of the time merely falls in line.
The villains are also poor, again though it's hard to be surprised by this as both actors they hired aren't really actors. None of them make any impact or are memorable.
I would say this film is like 'Kick-Ass' without the witty humour, talented actors, style, excitement or the passable characters.
