What happened to the reboot? JMS announced it then silence. Like pretty much every fucking B5 project after The Lost Tales. I know it sold fairly well and they wanted to do more, but it added nothing to the B5 lore.

You can compare them, though. Star trek never really did continuing storylines all that well and the "crisis of the week" format was just horrid after a point. Not to mention, because they couldn't do continuing storylines, the characters could never really develop. Most, if not all characters, were identical to what they were when they were introduced to when the series was canceled.

Like how the show is built around some legitimately great scenes and arcs. Basically every character (except ivonova and her porn replacement) develops grandly had has a number of huge defining, extremely dramatic moments, but, there's a LOT of time between these moments and that time is filled with what varies from slog to "please god make it stop" (see: penn and teller).
