Good point, but the violence in Basterds, Reservoir Dogs and Django felt more "fitting" and "controlled." This was like a kid playing with a blood sprinkler on a hot summer day. I wasn't expecting the Kill Bill style of violence by the end. Just felt unfitting to the story and tone.

While Death Proof is surely the worst, I like this over the Kill Bill, Django and maybe Inglorious Bastards. I like all his movies, though, so it's not really an insult to any of them. Except Death proof, I genuinely didn't care for it.

I really hope his next movie isn't another racial revenge fantasy. It's really starting to get weird. I loved Basterds and Django when they came out but that moment, that "Big Black Dangus" scene completely took me out of the movie and kinda retroactively ruined those other movies for me. I liked the concept a whole lot. The classic set-up where a bunch of strangers come together but one of them is secretly the bad guy.
