I'm assuming the nuke plant meltdowns are an allie ruse. It seemed like they wrote that into the story before they knew season 3 was renewed to give them a way to end the series if it was canceled. It would be in keeping with the show's mentality to kill everyone at the end.

It's pretty good for what it is - unassuming, cheap sci-fi with space bait that is actually a forest shooter with adventures.

There was no reason for him or Bellamy to be such dickheads, they especially should have known that Arkadia couldn't beat all the grounders at once. Pike was constantly going 'muh automatic weapons' apparently without knowing how fast they evaporate your remaining ammunition. And given the grounders' numbers, skills, and organization, they could easily starve out Arkadia without ever giving battle, which of course they did.
Bad writing because I guess they needed filler before moving things forward with the ALIE plotline.

You also have to believe that, in the event the Ice Nation gets the commander spot, all of the other tribes would have followed them. This seems unlikely given that Lexa was the first to unite them, and Indra was heading the protective army. Plus, it was a losing battle anyway. If the grounders decided to overwhelm them, there was nothing Pike could do, and one small treacherous ambush was never going to turn that tide. Their best option was always to sue for peace until they had proper allies among the other tribes.

It's a fair opinion, and that's the best part of Clarke's character. I agree with her decisions, but she knows that she's making a lot of people miserable at the same time. I like that the 100 presents actual moral dilemmas with no easy solution and not too many copouts.

This season was too unfocused. I hope next season they settle the script down and regain the glories of season 2.
As for the nuclear apocalypse thing, I hope they make the objective clear at the start. If the writers decide to make it a trek to the tiny portion of the globe that will still be habitable, we could regain the sense of mystery that we had in season 1, and get a new geographical antagonist like we had in season 2.
