Yep, it's all Marvel fanboys and Disney paying reviewers to give it low scores, that's what it is.

you're offering typical marveldrone arguments but whatever

rather than mentioning things that were positive about the movie, which you don't care about anyway, I will ask you how
>thor 2 got a 67% rating
>age of ultron got a 75% rating

both are terrible movies and especially age of ultron has horrible pacing issues, yet a majority of the reviewers think of these movies in a positive way

there's no excuse as to why age of ultron got good scores except that reviewers are in some form rewarded for giving positive reviews. it's already a common and well known practice but some of you people on this board still don't want to accept it. disney makes these people choose between two companies, that's how it is

I still have to admit that it's a very smart business choice to do so when it comes to disney
>>
>>69932330
There are low scores, and there is raiting the movie on the level of Room. If you genuinely think that BvS is that much worse than any other of its counterpart capeshits, you are a strange man.

It's not an 8-10, but it has enough for a 5-7.
>>
>>69934041
It's a "smart marketing" decision.
>>
>>69934095
Personally, I give it a solid 7 and have hopes that the director's cut raises that to an 8 or 9.
>>
>>69934041
The issue here is that Marveldrones are so deeply brainwashed that they can't judge movies by themselves anymore, and think that AoU is good.
>>
>>69932330

What is OP even talking about?
>>
>>69932330
It's not a boring movie, it's just a bad movie.
>>
>>69934155

are you stupid? of course it is

jesus christ, I am surprised at how retarded most of the people here are. I mean, I don't expect all of you to take business classes but it is pretty obvious that ANY industry will do whatever it can to secure bigger revenue. if I can pay people to spread a positive image of my company for a small sum, why not do it? these people will find an intrinsic motivation to hate on another company automatically due to fearing my not giving them trips/presents/whatever

this is basic business decision making
>>
>>69934209

I am genuinely sad that it's impossible to have proper discussions about capeshit on this board anymore

>marvel threads are company war baits most of the time
>if there is a proper marvel thread, some faggot, sometimes even from the marvel side, mentions how shitty the MCU has become
>rage and shitposts ensue

>dc threads are mostly normal posts about what people liked (due to the movies not performing well enough for shitposting)
>proper discussions are ruined by marveldrones who can only talk negative shit
>rest of the DCMU threads are shitposts by either DC drones or Marveldrones who post shit like "best movie of all time"

while I enjoy discussions about the MCU, I have to say that nowadays, I enjoy talks about the DCMU more due to modern Marvel fanboys knowing nothing about the actualy comics or movies in general

I don't think the "conspiracy" really needs to go much deeper than pre-conditioning.

People think of the MCU as Marvel comics heroes, but they're not - not really. They look like their comic book counterparts, they've all got a thin veneer of their comic book personalities, but ultimately, they've all been given that patented Disney treatment that removes anything but the most superficial of treatments of their darker character traits and themes.

In and of itself, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, as it provides reliable, if empty, entertainment, but being pushed on this level has instilled predetermined expectations of what's being delivered and what *can* be delivered in a "cape" movie.

>In and of itself, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, as it provides reliable, if empty, entertainment, but being pushed on this level has instilled predetermined expectations of what's being delivered and what *can* be delivered in a "cape" movie.

this is the best argument that I have seen in a long time since I always preach the same stuff. disney has basically redefined mainstream movie pop culture. like you said, there's nothing wrong with that in itself since the masses seem to like it. on the other hand, the movie industry is going to the gutters due to poor quality becoming mainstream while original ideas are laughed at

I for one found both Batman v Superman and X-Men Apocalypse to be great movies. both had their own very unique styles and fresh ideas. BvS had horrible pacing, which had a negative impact on its overall quality. nonetheless, the reactions by people are totally exaggerated. people spout shit like "worst movie of all time" and "lol, MUH SYMBOLISM" when
1. worst capeshit movie of all time would be catwoman
2. symbolism shouldn't be frowned upon just because it's not totally hard to spot

when has it become normal to frown upon artistic qualities of movies and find generic movies great?

Fair, so do I. I think the third act got really stale and boring, Snyder-style, but the first half was bretty good. Even the destruction porn at the start was great, since it showed the "clash of the gods" from the eyes of common men and established the roots of Wayne's distrust of Supes.

I just didn't like the pacing which ruined a lot of the movie but so what? of course there are no positive aspects when you don't want to see any

also, you didn't even try to say what a proper movie should be like and what you think good movies look like or which you prefer. you, as many others, are just there to start a crappy company war like some little contrarian kid who is hated by everyone. of course you have no arguments since it always takes logical thinking to stand for your opinion

Imagine being Sung Kang in that scene and having to be all like "damn, Gal Gadot, you fuckin' fine, all sexy with your flat chest and horrific androgynous monster body. I would totally have sex with you, both my character and the real me." when all he really wants to do is fuck another 16 year old in his dressing room. Like seriously imagine having to be Sung and not only sit in that chair while Gal Gadot flaunts her disgusting body in front of you, the favorable lighting barely concealing her ribs and leathery skin, and just sit there, take after take, hour after hour, while she perfected that walk. Not only having to tolerate her monstrous fucking visage but her haughty attitude as everyone on set tells her she's STILL GOT IT and DAMN, GAL GADOT LOOKS LIKE *THAT*?? because they're not the ones who have to sit there and watch her mannish fucking gremlin face contort into types of grimaces you didn't even know existed before that day. You've been fucking nothing but a healthy diet of blondes and supermodels and later alleged rape victims for your ENTIRE CAREER coming straight out of the boonies in South Korea. You've never even seen anything this fucking disgusting before, and now you swear you can taste the sweat that's breaking out on her dimpled stomach as she sucks it in to writhe it suggestively at you, smugly assured that you are enjoying the opportunity to get paid to sit there and revel in her "statuesque (for that is what she calls herself)" beauty, the beauty she worked so hard for with personal trainers in the previous months. And then the director calls for another take, and you know you could kill every single person in this room before the studio security could put you down, but you sit there and endure, because you're fucking Sung Kang. You're not going to lose your future political career over this. Just bear it. Hide your face and bear it.

If the MCU had stopped after phase 1, it would've been one of the best movie franchises ever in my eyes. phase 1 only had great movies, even though almost every single one had a couple of flaws. still, they had their own flair if you will

that's why I love Man of Steel so much. it's different and has an entirely different feel from all other comicbook movies I have seen before. I don't care about every single flaw in it. I only care about how it ultimately makes me feel and the answer is "good"

I hate how this world has become all about catering to sheep. people can't like anything anymore without having to explain themselves when they try to say they like something others don't

Limping over that boundary isn't what Disney wanted for what's essentially Avengers 2.5.

It bodes pretty shitty for future MCU minor releases. Doc Strange is DOA, f'rinstance.

I must admit, some scenes gave me the shivers, like Luthor bringing superman down on his knees, specially because we saw how strong superman is, the scene with Doomsday standing before supermans statue was also amazing. While I do have fun with marvel movies, MoS and BvS felt truly like gods among us, like a mythological story in present day.

Saddly the movies suffer from the issues, yet I'm glad they were made.

I really hate how people defend this movie unironically, unaware that it's just a meme.
No, retards, it's not actually an intellectual, high-class movie. It's a dull, witless movie, with an outright nonsensical script and, Affleck and Irons aside, shoddy performances by everyone of its actors, who seem unable to express any emotion. The outliar is definitely Eisenberg, who isn't a bad actor, necessarily, but.. you know, it's hard not to cringe in every scene he's in. It's outright painful. If one compares it to what Lex Luthor is actually like, then it gets a billion times worse (as do all characters in the movie, of course, but you don't even have to open that can of worms to see why it fails as a movie).

>inb4 Disney shill
Marvel does occasionally horrible, unwatchable dreg, and occasionally some really neat movies. So far, WBDC has only produced the former.
>>
>>69939118

as someone who enjoyed both movies and who still hopes the Ultimate Cut of BvS will be goat tier, I really think that of all capeshit movies this year, x-men was the best one. had they only succeeded in not making the CGI in apocalypse look like shit (at least in the 3D version), it would've been the cherry on top of the cake but whatever

I wasn't a marvel fan but I am now. Holy shit DC will not make their universe work aside from Batman. They're making Super fucking man second fiddle. You need to step back and look at the state of the board as a whole. No one comes here for serious discussion. Everyone come here looking for shitposting, or to shitpost themselves. if people stopped shitposting, this board would be much better. it doesn't matter whether a movie is horrendous or goat-tier. as long as the members are willing to be normal human beings, a proper discussion is possible
