It has not much to do with what you post but I need to blow off steam anyway and I don't want to make another GoT thread.
I thought Hodor explanation was really nice and I cried a lot. I don't think messing with the past is going to be a thing, because that was literally what Three Eyed Raven trying to teach Bran. No matter what you do, even if you interfere, you cannot change it. Now that Bran knows he's going to do something different somehow.
But I seriously don't understand why they're making characters go out of character constantly, like in Meereen scenes and stuff. Also dying direwolves had some symbolism, like Lady dying symbolized that Sansa was tamed, Nymeria running away symbolized Arya running around the world freely, and Robb's dying well meant he died. It's really sad that they ditched this.
Also I'm in denial in whole Children created the others thing. It sounds weird to me.

I always thought it was because he was simple... easier to control. There's no real concrete evidence of anyone warging another human besides Hodor (there are several theories, I know), and Bran seemed to do it quite easily while having never in the shows history so far ever warged anyone else. The earlier explanation for his mental state was that he had some sort of accident with a horse while tending the stables (I can't remember whether it was the books or the show but it was definitely there) and that would've fit much better.
