Ghostface dies immediately, literally just a dumb highschool kid in every incarnation.

Freddy is useless in the waking world so dies quickly too.

Leatherface is mortal, so wouldn't last long.

It would really come down to Jason or Michael, both immortal, indestructible killers.
>>
Are we getting a new Friday the 13th tv series? Are slashers really making a comeback? I am hype.

Freddy and Jason would be the last ones standing, just because they can't fucking die and they can't kill themselves either.

Slashers are something that just don't translate out of the 80's very well. Updating them for the 90's and 00's just hasn't seen them age well. It's time to just let go and enjoy what we once had.
>>
>>69882167
Myers can't die either.
>>
>>69881589
I blew so many loads to these movies when I was a teenager, there's just something about 80's girls.
>>
>>69882043
I don't remember Michael ever being immortal. Sure, he comes back from stuff that should of killed him, but never to the extent that someone like Jason has. I always thought he was just hard to kill, but never immortal.

>>69882268
He survived a dynamite blowing up next to him.
>>
>>69882268
Right. Compared to Jason the stuff Michael survives is relatively believable. The only thing I can think is his resurrection in 6 being supernatural but that's not really immortality.

Michael Myers possesses superhuman strength, stealth, endurance, and durability of an unknown limit. He has been known to be able to lift a large tombstone out of the ground and carry it for long distances by hand, penetrate an adult human skull with his thumb easily, lift and hold aloft an adult human male with one arm effortlessly, and impale an adult human male through a solid wooden door with a blunt object, among other feats. He is shown to be adept at sneaking up on his unsuspecting victims from hiding spaces and in open spaces without making any noise or attracting attention. He can withstand critical injuries that would normally result in death, such as being shot multiple times in vital organs(brain and heart included), deep stab wounds and/or impalement, high voltage electrocution, or severe third degree burns over most of his body mass. He has a healing factor that would enable him to regenerate tissue and even whole organs, such as his skin and eyes.
>>
Didn't Micheal Myers have some sort of cult influence him to be a killer?

Or was that in the shitty reboots?
>>
>>69882462
He got shot twice in the head in Halloween 2 and survived. That is pretty damn supernatural.
>>
>>69882181
Ghostface and Leatherface are just mortal humans. They would die (ghostface would be the first to die considering its usually just some teenage kid)
>>
>>69882561
That is in the horrible movie Halloween 6.
>>
>>69882561

>>
>>69882561

That was 4, 5 and 6. The "Cult of Thorn" arc that most people call bullshit on. What makes Myers so scary is that he just started indiscriminately killing for no reason. Once they tried explaining it, everything went to shit.

There are always exceptions to the rule. What I also had in mind was the fact that I don't believe we could see something as successful and enjoyable as a Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street franchise today.

>>
>>69883797
I'm picking Pinhead and Freddy. Those are the two most supernatural beings, so there won't be too many shenanigans with those who left. They'll kill Ghostface and Leatherface easy. Pinhead's chains will stop Myers and Voorhees while Freddy cuts down Creeper and Pumpkinhead. Chucky is a wimp anyway, so I can take care of him myself.

The first one is pretty decent, has Lance Heinriksen in it, not exactly jumping out of your seat scary but does have a cool creepy atmosphere. The second one is dogs hit, don't even watch it to make fun of it. The rest are hit and miss, the only decent ones are so because they try to show the silly animatronic as little as possible and hide it in darkness when you do see it.

Imagine being Nick Castle in that scene and having to be all like "damn, Jamie Curtis, you fuckin' fine, all sexy with your tight body and horrific androgynous monster face. I would totally murder you, both my character and the real me." when all he really wants to do is fuck another 16 year old in his dressing room. Like seriously imagine having to be Nick and not only walk after her while Jamie Lee Curtis flaunts her disgusting body in front of you, the favorable lighting barely concealing her stretchmarks and leathery skin, and just stand there, take after take, hour after hour, while she perfected that run. Not only having to tolerate her monstrous fucking visage but her haughty attitude as everyone on set tells her she's GOT IT and DAMN, JAMIE LEE CURTIS LOOKS LIKE THAT?? because they're not the ones who have to sit there and watch her mannish fucking gremlin face contort into types of grimaces you didn't even know existed before that day. You've been fucking nothing but a healthy diet of blondes and supermodels and later alleged rape victims for your ENTIRE CAREER coming straight out of the boonies in Tennessee. You've never even seen anything this fucking disgusting before, and now you swear you can taste the sweat that's breaking out on her dimpled stomach as she sucks it in to flee suggestively from you, smugly assured that you are enjoying the opportunity to get paid to stand there and revel in her "statuesque (for that is what she calls herself)" beauty, the beauty she worked so hard for with personal trainers in the previous months. And then the director calls for another take, and you know you could kill every single person in this room before the studio security could put you down, but you sit there and endure, because you're fucking Nick Castle. You're not going to lose your future screenwriting career over this. Just bear it. Hide your face and bear it.

At least in the first film Michael Myers was kind of an abstract entity. He is referred to as The Shape in the credits and was meant to be a force of concentrated evil. He probably wouldn't win against post-Firday the 13th Part 6 Jason, but Jason would stab him then look away for a second and Michael would be gone.

>>69882188
The movie would be perfect if it just stopped here. I love the idea of the government just getting sick of Jason's shit.

Like Halloween Resurrection is a perfectly fine epilogue to the series if you stop after the intro.
>>
>>69886196
Part 6 is the funnest, but you should at least watch 4 before watching it.

Texas Chainsaw 3D. Turns out she's his long lost cousin and lives with him at the end so he doesn't kill anybody else.
>>
>>69885588

I don't think it was a moral thing, more like a characterization that Jason was basically a big child who hates people older than him for bullying him and wouldn't be angry at younger kids or animals since they're as defenseless as he felt.

No, it was implied but it came back at the end unhurt.

This movie was written and made before F13 Part 2, but came out a few days after F13 Part 2
yet it's practically a F13 movie, Imagine a world where this movie became a series yet F13 didn't.

This movie would actually be pretty damn good if it didn't reveal that Cropsey was actually the killer and left people wondering. It's actually a film that could benefit from editing.
>>

How come 80s and 90s horror movie teens are so much better than 00s and today's horror teens? Modern day horror teens are just ironic hipsters or stoners, and on top of that they're all so pretty and handsome.
>>
>>69886879

Ted also spoke out for the other actors safety. When they were shooting a scene in the lake, it was extremely cold and the director kept the actors in the lake way too long. He stood up to the director and told him to stop.

>>
>>69887393
>shit was too slow
I think you mean you're too slow. Because the movie is reasonably paced. If you want an example of what slow is, go watch The Burning
>>
>>69887434

I like it but there's two things ruin it for me.

The weird voice over and the cliche dumb cop.
>>
>>69886909

Young people were able to make movies back then, now you can only get a movie made if you've got 60 years worth of connections so are out of touch as fuck.
>>
>>69887459
mbv was slower than the burning. all those scenes of people just drinking and talking.
>>
>>69887523
Well, The Burning certainly felt slower. With MBV, I liked the build up and never felt like I was waiting for anything. With The Burning though, I kept checking my watch every few minutes. And I watched them both on the same night.
>>
>>69887418
How are the movies after part 3? I never bothered with the franchise after that one
>>
>>69887498
Agreed. I'm guessing they only forced that it to lighten up the mood? Felt like I was watching a extremely dark episode of Andy Griffin
>>
>>69887716

Part five is awful, the rest are good and nine is the worst next to five.

>>69887746

I dunno, it's based on a true story, that seemed to bring the overall tone of the movie down. Still better than the sequel that came out a few years ago.
>>
>>69887697
>And I watched them both on the same night.
That's probably why
>>
>>69887716
The first two movies are the only ones worth watching for Hellraiser. The rest are either shit or scripts for horror movies that were unrelated to Hellraiser that they rewrote to make them related (and they were not seemless transitions)

I enjoy Hellseeker and Inferno as their own movies, but some people may find them boring and their production values aren't exactly amazing. Inferno looks like a made for tv movie. Hellseeker looks better, to me at least

What are your thoughts on the recent (last 5 years) spate of meta-slashers? Some are great, some less so, but there seems to be a tonne of people using the basic template for quirky, funny stories-
The Final Girls (2015)
Detention (2012)
Kill Me Now (2012)
Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil (2010)
Dude Bro Party Massacre 3 (2015)
