I think the big problem with the show is that the people losing the weight do not have to take responsibility over their own weight loss. They're in a highly controlled environment in that show and then when they're back in control of their own eating and exercise habits they just do what they've always done.

I dunno I think it's mostly a blessing, shopping's definitely been a lot cheaper after I basically cut out all the junk food I used to eat. You just need to learn to eat, not just count calories.

Protein and water both satiate hunger greatly. When I was really pushing myself I was getting 150g protein in with like 1300 cal, and there are people that do far better than that. If I burned more than 3k I'd eat more, but I'm just saying that it isn't hard. Just drink a fuck ton of water and eat/drink a ton of protein. The reason fats/carbs are so tempting and addicting is because you can eat so fucking much of them without feeling full at all.

At my heaviest I was around 220lb, and I got down to less than 170lb quite easily between dieting and exercising this way without ever really feeling hungry. Although the junk food cravings never really go away, but that's totally separate from hunger and I wish it was treated more seriously as an addiction close to crack or something.

I miss having a swimming pool, it's such great cardio. If I had easy access to one I'd alternate weights and swimming, no fucking jogging because it sucks shit. Put a fatty in a swimming pool for 30 minutes of freestroke laps or whatever and I bet most could do it, now try having them run for 30 minutes and see them try without collapsing. I do too, I just cook like a weeks worth without any meat or salt added, and then keep track of what I add to my daily portions. It's a pain in the ass at first, but from my experience it's the best way to do it. Also soup is such a great appetite suppressor with all the water/broth.

I actually lift three days a week, I just don't bother with very heavy weight because I don't feel like snapping my shit up. Max at bodyweight for 5 for benching, ~110 for OHP, etc.

If you seriously think a person can't get in fantastic shape with just bodyweight, you are seriously wrong. Like I said, I've met guys that have never done a squat in their entire lives that can do 100 push ups, do 25 mile rucks with full packs, run 6 minute miles back to back to back. The special forces are the gold standard for fitness considering that the only applicable point of fitness is to fight. Lifting things up and putting things down only makes your muscles big, it's barely ever applicable strength.

Back when I was at OSUT at ft leonard wood, the first guys to wash out were the 210 pound meatheads. They couldn't do fuckin 50 sit ups and could barely run to save their lives.

What good will being able to do 50 pushups or situps do you in a combat situation? All this does is reward weak, tiny skeleton soldiers at like 140lbs bodyweight because they don't have to work as hard to hit those numbers. If they had to carry one of their wounded teammates who weighs 200, gear not included, they would be fucked.
A 500lb squat and 600lb deadlift would be way more useful in that situation because they could just pick the guy up and get him out of danger.

It's about endurance, you fucking moron. Soldiers in the field don't go to the gym for an hour and take a sippy from the water fountain between every set while they sit around. You're walking around with half your bodyweight in bullshit in sweltering heat on rough terrain climbing over shit for ten hours.

Being able to do a lot of bodyweight reps gives you aerobic and anaerobic endurance, which is more important than being able to deadlift 600 pounds between water fountain trips any day.

You can be a 110 lb dyel who can do 100 push-ups in two minutes but then some jacked 220lb Chad can send you flying into a wall with one clumsy sweep of his hand. Swimming is a very good and relatively easy way to lose weight. The problem is that fatties are usually ashamed of their bodies and thus avoid swimming pools.
I'm obese myself, and alot of fat unfortunately went to my breasts, giving me big mantits and making me very self conscious. One day I decided to get over myself and just go for it, because I have ironicly always liked water. I spend every day swimming for a hour and lost alot of weight and kept this up for like two years. The people at the pool were suprisingly chill and nobody gave me weird looks, it boosted my confidence immensely. I've reverted to my lazy fuck lifestyle for like the past three years though, and quit exercising because I didn't have alot of time for it at that moment. So now those pounds are coming back. I moved to another city too, and the local pool here is absolute shit, overcrowded and pricey. I really want to pick it up again though. I highly recommend it if you're fat and want to lose weight but don't want to go to the gym

no, you need to lift more than your fat ass to build muscle mass, which in turn burns calories quicker than not. No one gives a shit if you're 300lb if most of it is muscle.

Mix that with a diet that focuses more on lien protein and less on processed sugars (making iced tea is a big replacement for all the calories you drink. Brussel sprouts are flavorful - even when frozen, and have a good bit of fiber on top of everything else. Chicken is cheap and easy to cook), and the weight you lose won't be AS horrific looking on your body from all the loose skin.

You can get a 2X7.5lb + 2X15lb hand weight set at Walmart for like $20, it's a really good start.

If you don't like jogging/running, Swimming/hiking is really good for Cardio. I can't stand running, but I'll walk up and down hills all day.
