lol i know its SO random
>>
>>69878272
what's random about it?
>>
Where do they get fuel for cars?
>>
>>69878272
Actually not random, everything is very well thought out and artistically executed

You'd think a film as perfect as it though would be random from the outset, seeing as it's hard to believe something so perfect could be man made
>>
>>69878228
yeah its so f*cking epic :D

it is an old lead factory, they could use oil products from gas town as a fuel source, though I am completely unqualified to say how they produce the explosives and manufacture the bullets with enough precision

i liked her. has her own set of believable goals and is determined to pull em through. nice to see a female role that can be taken as seriously. liked her grieving scene when she discovers her thingaling

>>
>>69878724
As much as I hate the "just turn your brain off" approach to films, I'm a hypocrite when it comes to this one. I didn't really care that the characters were undeveloped and the plot was as simple as can be. I enjoyed the hour and a half long action sequence with tons of explosions, wrecked cars, and an impressive array of practical effects.
>>
>>69879654
It's a movie that takes place in a fucking orange desert. Exactly what colors where you expecting?
>>
this is the best action movie in years

done by an old white non-jew man
>>
>>69882209
The characters weren't "undeveloped." They were all developed considerably more than standard action movie characters. They just didn't do it through dialogue. Mise en scene brah. Show, don't tell.
>>
>>69878724
This.

Fedora Road could have been an all-time great action flick up their with the Terminators, Matrix, etc., but nothing came out very well except the action/stunts. Those other movies actually managed to make you care what was going on in the story and what would happen to the characters, so it gave the action real weight.

MMFR just demonstrated a lot of great technical stunt work. It was more like a demo reel than a movie.

>implying joe, nux, and furiosa weren't great characters
>>
>>69878228
I enjoyed it when I first saw, but it doesn't hold up on repeat viewing IMO. When you know what is going to happen the constant action becomes tiresome
>>
>>69878228
its cirque du soleil for bros.

no plot, dialogue, writing, humor or drama. just spectacular, elaborate set pieces and color. take from that what you will about its fans.
>>
>>69878879
They're big guys.
>>
>>69878228
during the end chase scene why dont they shoot max when he is on the trailer? he is in the open and they got guns.

it makes no sense.
>>
>>69878228
no it's fucking not this movie sucked
>>
>>69885402
They weren't. Joe isn't nearly as memorable or as menacing as the T-1000 or Mr. Smith.

Nux just acted like some idiot tweaker, and the forced romance with the redhead was abhorrent. Furiosa was bland too and her acting was mediocre. Sarah Conner kicks her ass. I felt nothing during that flat scene when F dropped to her knees and cried.
>>
>>69886293
>Joe isn't nearly as memorable or as menacing as the T-1000 or Mr. Smith.
That's because you didn't watch this movie growing up.
>>
>>69878228
tl;dr watch CinemaSins Mad Max rlease
>>
>>69878228
It would have been flawless with Mel.

Felt like Miller was forced to sign a big guy just to get it financed.
