Well it's kind of a given in almost every piece of superhero media now. The power you get with just DNA things are limited so now pretty much everything with superheroes in it goes beyond that. The only thing like that that really pisses me off is flight in the Nathan Petrelli Heroes style. If you can fly unaided by wings or techology, that seems to imply you have some sort of telekinesis that for some reason only affects your legs. I don't even see the logical consistency let alone scientific accuracy, at least with time control and weather manipulation you can pretend there's some magical force their DNA is now accessing. Heroes probably pissed me off more because they were really pushing the "this is science" angle, if they didn't have all that narration about the potential of human genes I could forget about it more easily.
