Because the people who disliked it have taste.
For real though what did you like about it? It somehow managed to make a big weird blockbuster about Ancient Egyptian gods dull and cliched as shit. 80% of the action is just people running from big cg monsters or destruction which may be the most boring type of action scene. Goeffery Rush fighting space worm and Gerard Butler hissing to make his roach-led chariot move were the only funny bits.
