predator
Doom
Sunshine (it turns to absolute garbage in the third act)

The first two acts were great. I wonder how it would have turned out if they didn't shove in the crazed slasher at the end and simply had the crew encounter catastrophe after catastrophe and wondering if it really was God's will for the human race to die.
As Above So Below
Bone Tomahawk
The Cave (2005)
Grave Encounters 1+2
Prince of Darkness
Ravenous
REC
Riddick (2013)
Session 9
The Thing (2011)
I wish there were more of these tbqh

Same, but at the same time it's the type of genre that will lose its edge if overdone. Imagine a Shamalalabalan type doing these movies. They would become old quick same way twist ending did I think.

Fair point, but I feel like there's a lot of leeway in terms of the setting and genre/sub-genre that the only thing stopping production companies from churning out more of these would be budgetary constraints.

I'll allow it, but that Seal? team had a separate objective - it was a coincidence there was a Predator. Ahhhrnuuld wasn't sent to investigate missing guerillas.
there are a ton of boat movies like that

I just saw this movie and I fucked hated it.
Such a cool concept and really good set design ruined by dogshit directing, terrible acting, and fucking awful dialogue.
Imagine if this movie had been done by a competent director who understood subtlety instead of cartoon fighting some cthulhu/hell possessed demon doctor who cut himself up stylishly.
It was a short film and it still felt long because nothing of interest really fucking happens at all and it does a terrible job of establishing any sort of care for the characters which in turn ruins any tension of the situation.

Sphere is pretty much Event Horizon under water. Havent seen it for about 1 years so not sure how it holds up, but i enjoyed it when i was about 14.

It's a lot of squandered potential, but I still enjoyed the movie. It can also be considered part of the 40k universe.

Listen to this man. Both Virus and Deep Rising are great. One has a mecha Donald Sutherland and the other has a Late 90's Famke Janssen doing her best Ada Wong impression. Both movies need way more love. They're so underrated.
