ITT: God tier film critics.
Honorable mention:spill dot com. RIP cinema matinee I ain' got $7.50 to pay
I love me some Kermode.
Especially when he gets significantly triggered by some of the things he is forced to watch

His best review yet. Next toKeith Lemon The Film

Jay Sherman

I like how he's able to basically rip into a horrible film when needed and not suck up like most critics do. He's quite based sometimes.

>I like how he's able to basically rip into a horrible film when needed and not suck up like most critics do.
Unless it supports his political agendas or is made by one of "his people" since then he will praise it even if it's a complete piece of shit.
>>69755501
Is he the one who said Keith Lemmon brought joy to absolutely no one? If so that was one of my favourites.
>>69755438
The bit where he says "TWO HOURS" three times exactly the same fucking way creases me up
Still think I prefer his Sex and the City 2 review purely because he starts singing socialist anthems while the engineers/the woman who came in to do a news bulletin crack up in the background.
And the Fred review where he screams until Mayo takes the mic away, wish they had the cameras back then
>>69755500
Nah he'll say its not as bad as some are calling it but will still find it boring, pointless and uninteresting

>Nah he'll say its not as bad as some are calling it but will still find it boring, pointless and uninterestin
There is literally no way he isn't going to like it.
>Paul Feig
>Melissa McCarthy
>positioned as feminist banner, his favorite flag to fly.

Hi Guuuuyyy.
One of the few critics to actually talk about films' visual aesthetics.

le bow tie man
le old jew hipster man
le serious santa man
>>69755820
since when does he like Melissa McCarthy
>>69756053
Since Bridesmaids. Every time he reviews one of her movies he always makes a point to talk about how great he thinks she is even if he thinks the rest of the movie is shit.
He cucked himself good and proper for Spy just last year.
>>69756109
Spy had a horrible first 30-40 minutes but after that it really picks up.
It's hard to justify having such a long amount of time before any good jokes show up though.
Roger Ebert was great
In fact, I basically used his website to find movies to watch. Haven't ever been let down either.
>>69756309
>Melissa McCarthy cuck vehicle
>really picks up
If you enjoy a film like that for even one second then you are an ideological enemy of this board and there is literally no reason for you to ever be here.
>film is made to erase the white male
>/tv/ is in place as a headquarters to protect the white male
There can be no crossover between these two things.
>>69756403
I don't care about white males. I'm a black guy.
>>69755950
he has to be the most autistic person on the planet
just read his wikipedia page

His biggest compliment in the Spy review was talking about how Jason Statham was great and the funniest thing in it.
It was a fairly middling review in general too. Claiming some of the comedy falls flat and that he didn't like it as much as bridesmaids
He still gave it a pass but he was hardly claiming it was an important film or exceptional in anyway.
Plus saying that he likes an actor/actress doesn't mean he gives them a free pass. He slatted that Tammy for example.
>>69756403
wrong, it's a place for memes
>tfw you will never make a film that gets 4 Reagans
>>69756529
is that a man in drag
>>69756473
There is too much riding on Ghostbusters as a feminist statement for Kermode to give a bad review to it. At very worst he'll say it's a disappointment but point out that he likes what it stands for and he'll talk about how great McCarthy is.
>>69755824
I'm pretty positive Kermode is real life Jay Sherman.
Speaking of which, has he done a review of The Force Awakens yet?
>>69756652
Yes. He liked it.
Honestly I think this is because when the first trilogy came out he was young and too up his own arse to like it and the prequels just reinforced this belief, but as he's gotten older and less pretentious he was able to get Star Wars.
