Honestly, from the interviews I've seen and read, he's pretty reserved, even shy, and doesn't like the publicity that much. Being Bond entails doing shitloads of promotion. Essentially, not only he had to act in a movie, he had to do a lot more interviews than any regular actor, commercials, had to be in perfect shape, got hurt doing stunts, etc. He's 48 years old. I can see why it gets tiring.
