Netflix offers pretty good HD streams on most devices and it remembers where I was. I don't have to download anything, I don't need to use any annoying proxies, I don't need to make sure it's the right file type for my TV, I don't have to transfer everything on a USB, I can watch old shows on the train when I want, and I don't have to worry about some stupid ratio. My "high speed" internet is very slow by normal standards, but there are literally no other options than moving to an area with better service. Websites like Netflix and Youtube stream very fast. If I try to stream via other websites I have to wait an hour for the movie to load enough so that I can start watching it, and then pray to God the connection doesn't crap out. Or I have to spend 1-3 hours downloading the movie and wait for it to finish. $10 per month is much cheaper for me than wasting hours of my time each week queuing/downloading shit.
