Depends on the ratios. I have to use more mixer if I'm drinking shitty spirits. A good vodka like Stoli can be drunk with a bare minimum of mixer and you can enjoy that kick of alcohol without tasting a load of battery acid at the end. I don't mean to sound smug, I just know that back in the day I drank a lot of Smirnoff, along with other cheap spirits. Nobody cared as long as it was alcohol and it was made drinkable with enough mixer. White Russians and Bloody Marys were sophisticated drinks by our standards.
But when you hit a certain age, unless you're a hopeless alcoholic, drinking becomes more about quality than quantity. You experiment with flavours. You buy and consume olives.
Sangria used to be just cheap red wine and OJ. Now I'm using Rioja, and throwing in frozen summer fruits, brandy and lime. Cherries and strawberries. Drinking it out of a proper glass like a poco grande instead of a coffee mug.
