Not a bad explanation. His stuff is cookie-cutter and obviously went into formula mode, especially after early successes like All That. (Yeah I know about Robbins-Tollin as producers too, but he quickly became the big guy.)
I don't think Dan is a pedo, however hilarious the memes are, but he clearly wishes he could be a teenager forever, and worse his own really lame (not warped/evil, just really lame) vision of what one is compared to the reality. But he did spend his own teens being a token fat teen actor, so.
