Everything Chris Carter has tried to do with this series past season 7 has been horrible. The last movie sucked and everything bad about S10 was stuff he wrote and directed. If there's any hope of this being good, he needs to just be a producer and let someone else handle it.

X-files as a limited series was never going to make sense. Limited series implies you are coming back to tie up some plot but no one cares about the plot of X-files.
