It was damn good.

I jumped when that guy took the shotgun blast to the face. Such a well paced movie. Normally, it would be to a films detriment of you "felt it's length" but this only being about an hour and a half and feeling like three was absolutely to it's benefit. The tension drew out every single second into what felt like minutes. I loved the end as well

and alia shawkat's big fat ass and splashy knockers

Come on guys can't we just talk about a movie? Should I meme more? Cuck?

Stephen Stills taking the shotgun blast was the fucking highlight of the movie for me.

And I dunno, it actually felt a lot shorter to me than it should have. I went in expecting a Friday The 13th Hack n' Slash and I was surprised at how well-thought-out the villains were.

I saw it in a theater last night. It's been out a couple weeks now
>>
How crazy is the violence? I'm usually okay with horror stuff but I'm really not a fan of torture porn like Hostel.

seen it.
I usually don't care for this kinda movies, like.. too predictable, or they abuse of the "gorey" shots, or the villains and their motives are dumb as fuck, or too expositive.
This was solid, and it kept me tense during the whole movie (well, since shit hits the fan of course)
>>
>>69604861
it's not horror. It's not torture porn. But you do get to see a butchered arm, a guy shot on the head with a shotgun, a guy with his big ass belly cut in half with a knife, and some people eaten by dogs.
So, if you're a pussy, avoid. But it's not done for the sake of showing flesh and blood, it works.

I just watched Triple 9, and if it's somehow better than that it's a good year for thrillers. It's weird how poorly received that movie was.
>>
>>69605232
Op here
Funny you say that. I walked out of triple 9
>>
>>69605349
I guess you are part of the reason why we don't get any solid cop/gangster movies any more.
>>
>>69605704
No, I'm pretty sure it was just a bad movie
>>
>>69605963
It was a well executed cop/crime thriller with great performances and an interesting plot. I'm assuming most people didn't get that it was a throwback to old 80s action flicks. Despite functioning as a well made action movie it also had pretty interesting allusions to modern society and the hero/villain tropes as well. I think now more than ever a movie flopping is a sign of quality as movies become more and more homogenized. It's sad that even pulpy adult crime movies are being pushed out in favor of the ever increasing franchising.
>>
>>69606628
That's all pretty valid. I think it's mostly just a matter of preferences. It just didn't grab me. But you have a solid point about popularity. There was nobody in the theater when I saw green room. Same for triple9. Same for sicario. Same for Brooklyn. I can generally tell if something will be interesting if the theater I go to only has one or two showings of it a day
>>
>>69607100
The niche that Triple 9 occupied is the one that's shrunken the most though. Sicario was more overtly political and serious, Brooklyn is an indie/arthouse film, and I'm presuming Green Room is more of a horror movie than anything else. Triple 9 was a well made well acted straightforward cop borderline-B movie for adults, which might as well be a unicorn these days.

Man, the way you talk about it makes me really wish I could have liked it. Maybe I should just try again
>>
>>69607892
Yeah don't go in expecting the wheel to get reinvented and I'd be surprised if you're that turned off again.
