I am a TNG and voyager fan, hated DS9 and the original series. Will I like Enterprise?
>>
>>69314053
ENT is definitely not DS9-like and returns to the classic exploration of TNG and VOY.
That said, the lack of technology sort of makes it similar to TOS so I'm not sure how that would sit with you. No holodecks, no replicators, etc
>>
>>69313884
What a waste of money when we could be getting re-mastered HD DS9 or, yes, even Voyager I would prefer over a remake that doesn't need one.

The visuals are already fine for me with the movies, it's unnecessary.

I love season 3 of Enterprise. It's exciting and dramatic. That's why when people say "season 3 was the worst part", I'm like wtf are they talking about? Jolene Blalock is an amazing actress. How do you miss all those great moments with her character developing and come to the conclusion it sucks?

I couldn't agree more.

Season 3 was the best of the show for me and one of the best seasons of Trek, for me. There were only a couple of "enh" ones in there, but for the most part the tension was palpable, there was constant variation of epiosde ideas, the underlying arc was ever-present, Jolene's character became much more real and had a pathos even with her addiction to the Trellium (?), just an all around great season.

Brannon Braga's a real douche when it comes to giving Manny Coto credit where credit is do.

In the Blu-Ray's he has this real subtle "Well, yeah, that was a Manny Coto episode.." vibe. IMO, Braga was tapped of ideas and Manny's Season 3 and then Season 4 executive producer role showed he was the creative force it really needed from the beginning.

Similitude is still one of my all time favorites.

To ENT's credit it did feature the tastiest looking aliens. Imagine a seared aquatic Xindi steak served over grilled onions. Or whole steamed insectoid Xindi with lemon and butter. Nothing else in any series comes close (though in TOS' defense, I would very much like to try roasted Gorn)
>>
>not having Al show up in the last episode

>>
Why did the Xindi test their weapon on Earth? That test gave Earth a warning and months to prepare.

Why didn't the Xindi blow up the Enterprise? Every time they overpower the Enterprise, they always send over a boarding crew and/or retreat.

The Xindi were stupid. No wonder they lost.

I just watched the last episode of TNG, and I got all teary eyed.

When I got netflix a while ago, I decided to watch all of Star Trek from the beginning. My mom was a huge star trek fan, and we would sit and watch it together when I was a kid while my father was doing manly stuff and my sister was off being a cunt.

Watched the original series, and relived the memories, watching it with my mom. Then, I started TNG, and I was loving the cheese factor of the sets and stories. Then it hit its stride, and I remembered the episodes. I even saw a couple episodes that I hadn't seen before.

Then, it came up to the last season, and the episode "All Good Things". I stopped watching for 4 months. I just couldn't watch it, even though I already had, many times before. I knew that once I watched it, I would be done with TNG.

But tonight I finished the series, and that last scene of the bridge crew playing poker together is still as satisfying as ever.

My mom still loves star trek, but getting her motivated to watch something has become harder since the dementia kicked in. Some times I can get her to watch an episode and remain lucid enough to enjoy it, but usually she ends up spacing out midway through. Watching all of TNG on my own just reminded me of the first time I saw it, with my mom, in our old living room with the ratty ass couch, munching on popcorn, we'd watch as everyone else did their own thing. It reminded me of better days.

I apologize for the blog post, but I appreciate you fuckers for being awesome.

I've only been coming to /tv/"trek-threads" since December 2015 and this seems eminently true.

DS9 threads I always thought were the worst, even though it's possibly my favorite series.
TNG is right except I've never noticed a dip in quality discussion.

In any event, ENT threads lack the amount of speed of posts for obvious reasons, I just don't want reddit shitposter to show up in any thread, same with pretentious douche who will reply to 8 posts for the sake of it.

Leland Orser is a great B to C lister.
He wasn't in TNG but he was also in DS9 as a member of the "seedy flakey skin race that gets pissed off over being given an entire planet" race.

Oh, and I'm not Ezriposter but I save a lot of his images because I too find her quite pleasing in many ways.

Every single one involves a >>>/reddit/, followed by some ghetto / black references, et al.

It all seems very trollish to me, though.

On a side note, I hope Fuller can hire Manny Coto, a hardcore Trek fan who was the progenitor of Season 4 from Enterprise and the writer of some of Season 3's best, including Similitude.

Not to mention, Jeff Combs deserved to be a mainstay, if only for one season, just for being overall an outstanding performer and cool guy.

His age is starting to show, but he's so great I can't imagine it would affect a character played by him. It's a travesty that we never got the planned S5 with Shran on the main cast
>>
>>69320438

He could play the right role to the hilt, the casting just has to be right. But he's played everything he's been given magnanimously, I wouldn't mind him even as a one-offer.

I would guess, even though it's still a lot of conjecture, if a seasonal anthology is part of the MO on Trek 2017, Fuller will definitely hire a couple of the old hands who the fans loved, if not work them into time specific storylines. I feel like he is more keen on what the core Trek fans want but ultimately he will be playing multiple tunes for multiple people to make the show work and not just for the sake of the Trek franchise but also CBS' streaming service.

Yes, there is character development (not that anon) but it really doesn't show up in full speed until Season 3.

Just be a man and take the dive. Word of advice.

-The Theme song has an evolution: disgust, apathy, mild enjoyment, outright singing before every episode.. as Garak said "It's insidious."
-The first two seasons are hit and miss but in the end they aren't that bad writing wise, it's sort of a mixture of the cast trying to figure out the roles (IMO).

TOS and DS9 have the best interpersonal relationships, and DS9 has the most character development of all the Treks. It's a shame that you missed out on that.

Season 3 is fucking amazing and season 4 has real gold.

They were just really getting going, should have had 2 or 3 more seasons.

Any daring memetic synthesis more than 7 days old should be retired. If it was a good meme then it should be put in the /trek/ Hall of Fame.

Which reminds me, we need a /trek/ Hall of Fame to put our retired memes in.

I've been posting to /tv/ Star Trek threads since November 2014, any other oldfags want to discuss criteria for a Hall of Fame?

I started a Tumblr to collect /trek/ memes once, but I never did anything with it because
1, I don't know how Tumblr works
2, Moot wanted 4chins to be ephemeral. Are we really truly ready to abandon Moot's legacy?

From experience, when a popular general got banned off another board they made their own little yotsuba site to continue posting in much the same manner.
If anyone is autistic enough to buy hosting for one it could be used as a repository to retire/collect things.

I've been nostalgiafagging through the archives a bit which was why I posted that hasperat pasta; even just a year ago trek threads seemed a lot more lighthearted and more dedicated to the concept of an 'imageboard', albeit trading off serious discussion

Well, we're not going to get banned, so creating a trekchan is overkill.

I might give curating a Hall of Fame another shot, but my big problem is that most of our copypasta is centered on DS9 and Voyager.

I can't find enough good pasta for TOS, TNG or Enterprise.

>tfw I actually enjoyed Enterprise very much so with a few exeptions.
> I enjoy Voyager above all others since it was my first trek show and introduced me to the world of Star Trek
>I feel I might actually like some of the characters on DS9 if I stuck with the show longer instead of giving up on it after experiencing a few boring episodes.
>TOS is a bit too old and crude for my taste but I still enjoy the actors and stories.
>TNG might have been my favorite if it wasn't for Seven of nine, and the Doctor
>The JJ films felt nothing like Star Trek to me so I don't really think of them when I think Star Trek.

Addendum:

If anybody has some good TOS, TNG or Enterprise pasta, please share it. I'll start:

I was walking into the fancy supermarket downtown when I saw a familiar face inside through the revolving door. My mind could not place it until I had gone through them when suddenly it hit me like a speeding truck full of bricks powered by thunderbolts.

William Fucking Shatner.

The man himself in flesh right in front of me. I felt like I'd had a stroke as I started frantically patting myself all over trying to find my pockets, trying to find my phone, trying to take a picture because that is what normal human beings do in such situations I think I though. But even though I found the phone 5 or 10 times my brain could not stop its frantic searching motions, could not even blink or breathe, as I slowly revolved around him and backward into a line of people at the salad bar.

The whole time he smiled and smiled, and waved, and threw kisses. Not to me, he never even saw me even though I was standing not 3 feet from him. He was on his stage and playing to his audience, the supermarket itself.

He was not alone, a young woman was at his side. His girlfriend? daughter? grand-daughter? body-guard? She saw me, never took her eyes off me. The strange man with wild eyes, patting his pockets.. did I have a gun? She quickly grabbed the shat by the arm and steered him out the door as he smiled and waved and kissed to the produce section.

Let me tell you about my typical day, /tv/

It was a hot day since the environmental systems were on the fritz and I was in the holodeck with the safety protocols disabled benching 1200 pounds. My abs were flexing and girls within 10 decks were getting wet. Once I was done with my daily 32 hour workout I called one of the bitches I know, B'elana Torres. She is really fucking hot and looks like a supermodel. SO I got into my custom-built shuttlecraft and reved it up to 40,000 Cochranes (this is a Delta-Quadrant special edition with special engine system). I got onto the slipstream near Voyager and threw it into Warp 15, I went so fucking fast I became omnipresent and my dna exploded. As I was flooring it through the universe like a badass, BLT called me and said she wanted me to fuck her. So be it.

I came to a full stop from Warp 15 in front of her quarters. The Delta Flyer has top notch brakes, you know. So she gets out of her quarters and walks up to my shuttlecraft and starts eyeballing my dick. I could tell she was staring at it because when I looked at her I noticed she was looking at my dick. Booya. .

Flash forward to like 10 minutes later. My 30 inch dick is going inside of her VAGINA, hitting them walls. I'm holding her entire body up with my left pinky as I'm fucking her and she has 30,000 orgasms. She looks me in the eyes and she says "harder." SLIPSTREAM DRIVE just kicked in, yo. I blow my load so hard she falls off my dick. There had to have been about two pints of cum everywhere. People say I cum like a Ferengi, I wouldn't disagree with them.

I throw her a towel so she can clean herself up then I do a triple backflip into my Delta Flyer and drive home to Earth.

I was in our ship's semi-fresh food mess hall here in the Delta Quadrant (the kitchen was converted from the Captain's private dining room), and I'm in line to order some Kazonian ham at the front. The cook asked me what kind, and I said "I have no fucking idea what different kinds of Kazonian ham there are, Talaxian" ENTIRELY too loudly and the woman behind me in line I hadn't noticed burst the hell up laughing.

I turn around. Captain Janeway.

She kinda half leans around me and says "Ocampan honey glazed!" to the freak behind the counter and I just kinda stare at her for a second then smile and say thanks. I'm about to replicate something else instead but she says "No way, this one's out of my rations" and authorizes the resource allocation for it right there. I was astounded, it was so awesome that I did the only thing I could think of... I tensed up like an academy cadet and saluted. Once again she cracks out in mad laugher and asked me if I had any idea how long it had been since someone did that. I said "A dozen parsecs?" She said "Try ten thousand light years", with a devilish grin on her face.

We ended up having Vidiian torch in her personal quarters on deck 4. Turns out she'd apparently installed a Borg replicator, which let her replicate all kinds of shit that the ship's standard complement couldn't handle. We talked about everything that wasn't her career for about 47 minutes before I had to take off because my shift was about to start. I shook her hand and said she made my year today. She smiled and beat my head in with a hyperspanner. I looked up from the floor, my eyes covered in blood as I made out a blurry image of a freshly-replicated torpedo being hoisted above my head. Through the ringing in my ears I can't recall the probably inspiring parting line about duty and service before the casing came crashing down, ending my voyage.

Hello, my "friends". You are here now watching this image of me because I have been murdered. It probably happened while I was on-duty, serving the crew, which is what I expected. Never forget I died being who I didn't choose to be, an existence which I never asked for. What I want you to know is how much I loved my life, which you all stole away from me. You are shit. You all know that I had a right to live just as much as anyone else in this crew. But your Captain took this gentle, frightened being and killed him in cold, green blood. I can only imagine how happy you are to finally be rid of my unwelcome presence. Doctor, you at least protested my demise. For that I can almost forgive you. Harry, you handed her the murder weapon. Your hands are stained with blood, now and forever. B'Elanna. We are so much alike, you and I. Two conflicting forces fused together. Why couldn't you empathize with my plight, or do you lack any empathy at all? Tom. I saw how you stared at me, like I'm some sort of abomination. Trust me, you creep, the feeling is mutual. You make me sick. Chakotay, I prayed so long and hard for you to grow a spine. I understand now that I prayed in vain. A koo chee moya, your ancestors deserved their genocide. Kes, is your unloving heart finally satisfied now? Your precious pedophile is returned to your side. Enjoy his tender touches until he moves on to groom a new child bride. I should know. He was me. My dear Kathy. I wish I could say that I have been and always shall be your friend. But the truth is unveiled now, the logic is inescapable: I was never your friend, you never cared for me. You killed me, Kathy, you killed me. This sin can never be washed away from your soul. So, you'll understand when I say, death is the undiscovered country, the final frontier, the last stop to the journey. But I'm not lonely. Because I know that you'll join me soon, all of you, one day. Death comes eventually for everyone. Hailing frequencies closed, sirs.

Why is Voyager the most drama-filled Star Trek?

TOS
>Jim Kirk had a huge ego and everybody hated working with him

TNG
>someone (Maurice Hurley?) harassed Bev Crusher in the first year

DS9
>Ben Sisko injected raw marijuanic cannabinoids directly into his bloodstream before shooting every day

Enterprise
>UPN execs were constantly interfering, shit like arranging for real life pop bands to play at the ends of episodes

Voyager
>the writing staff's Native American advisor was actually an Armenian scam artist
>before the show began, Executive Producer Rick Berman told the human characters to act wooden, to make the aliens "pop"
>Chakotay hated how bland he became, so he kept demanding pay raises, hoping to be fired
>Chakotay dated 7 of 9 only because he demanded a romantic relationship
>7 was hired because Executive Producer Brannon Braga wanted to sleep with her
>Janeway didn't like that 7 was ruining her "feminist role model" vision, so Janeway bullied 7 on-set
>this only stopped when 7 began sleeping with Braga, ruining her marriage
>when her divorce details became public, her ex-husband lost the race for Illinois Senator to Barack Obama
>the bullying was so bad that Harry Kim bursts into treats and cries about it at conventions
>Kim and Tom Paris avoided the bullying by spending their off-camera time at the snack table
>they gained so much weight that the writers threw fat jokes into scripts
>the execs began hating Kim when he talked to TV Guide about Berman's acting mandate
>they were going to fire him, and only didn't because People Magazine named him among the year's Most Beautiful People
>instead they fired Kes, and her life spun out of control, so she fell into drugs and crime
>Tuvok has no life outside of Star Trek, and he's now the driving force behind Renegades
>Ron Moore joined as Co-Executive Producer, but left when he saw that the writers/execs "don't give a shit"

Were they cursed by vengeful spirits, angry at Jamake Highwater for his lies?

>(Federation News Service) An Ocampan best known for stowing away aboard the Starfleet starship USS Voyager was arrested on stardate -270942.062.

>Kes, who resembled ancient Earth actress Jennifer Lien while living on board the USS Voyager during the first few years of her journey home, has been charged with indecent exposure.

>According to FNS affiliate GNN, Kes was arrested in her home in Harriman, Tennessee, United States of America, Earth, Terran System, Sector 001, Alpha Quadrant, Milky Way Galaxy.

>Neighbor Carey Smith told GNN that Kes came by her home to comment on how Smith's children were being raised and started using vulgar language.

>"All of a sudden, here come the shirt up," said Smith, "Without using her hands, it was like telekinesis."

>"She started flashing and glowing with bright lights and, 'Woo hoo,' and I said, 'And what respect is that for kids?' There was none. And then she turned around and teleported her pants elsewhere."

>According to the affiliate, Kes was found naked in her holosuite by deputies and resisted walking to the patrol shuttle after threatening to erase the officers from the space-time continuum.

>Kes was clothed and carried out to the shuttle.

>Kes is known to be an alien from a mentally advanced race with only a nine-year lifespan. It is unknown whether her advanced age of forty-one has impaired her mental capabilities.

>The Harriman Police Department also said that Kes has a record that includes piloting a shuttle without a license, attacking a Federation starship, attempting to cause a warp core breach, burning victims through pyrokinesis, violating the Temporal Prime Directive, and jaywalking.

>As of Tuesday night, Kes remained in jail. When reached for comment, Kes offered:

>"Don't use transwarp, kids. Don't go faster than warp 10. It'll mess you up."

Hello, my friends. You are here now watching this image of me because I have been arrested. It probably happened while I was drunk, high and nude, which is what I expected. Never forget I got caught doing exactly what I chose to do. What I want you to know is how much I hate my life, and those of you who shared it with me. You are shit. You all know where I came from and what my life was like before Voyager. But Berman and Braga took that frightened, gentle young girl and ruined her. I have been cursed to watch your fame and success from afar. Kate, you are the worst. You teased me, laughed at me, and always made me cry. Robert, you are capable of so much hate. You taught me without ever having to say a word. I realized I could try nothing without losing. Ah, Garrett. We are so much alike, you and I. Both hated, betrayed by our producers. I hope you meet death with your eyes wide open. Robert. Your flaccid will comes from within. It can't be diminished any more. From you, I have learned to give up, quit trying and surrender. Tim, I'm sorry I won't be able to see you grow and move on with your life. Is your pathetic obsession with Star Trek ageless? Robert, in those moments I felt the most despair, you took your hand and touched me where I didn't like it. You taught me that nobody can be trusted. My dear Roxann. You hid like a child on that engineering set, far away from all my drama, and that makes you a pathetic coward. Ethan. I wish I could say you've been like a friend to me, but I've never had one, so I don't know what it feels like. But if there was someone in this universe I could choose to like me, someone who I would want to make proud of me, it would never be you. You who have the talent of a turd and the soul of a scumbag. So, you'll understand when I say, Tennessee is that state to which I hope you'll never visit. Which is why it will be your end if you do. I will fucking shoot you like a Roane County sheriff. DID YOU KNOW? Jennifer Lien is not aware that she is no longer an actress. During the filming of Star Trek: Voyager, she was so extraordinarily and invariably crunked on badly broken methamphetamines that she still genuinely believes actions to have no consequences, and that every day ends with a reset button.

Just an interesting behind-the-scenes factoid for your personal edification.

That's all for now, all of these plus the Voyager Arcade Game.

Tried to work in the additions with the original:

>In the DS9 DVD edition booklet released in 2008, screenwriter Robert Hewitte Wolfe outlined some of the prospective episodes for the planned spinoff following Dukat, Damar, Kira, and Ziyal:

>[Pilot] "The Naprem" Caught between her duties to Captain Sisko and her moral desire to take up the cause of freedom fighting, Major Kira must make a tough choice. When it is discovered that the Klingons are launching an assault on Cardassia Prime, Kira's care for Ziyal leads her to betray her uniform and engage in one of her most dangerous missions to date
>S1E2 "Concordance" Having successfully averted the Klingon attack, the Naprem begins to experience malfunctions in its warp reactor. A subspace shockwave causes Kira and Damar to switch bodies.
>S1E3 "Art to Reckon" Kira begins to second guess her choice to join the crew as Dukat's advances become increasingly obvious. The situation is complicated, however, when Dukat discovers Kira teaching Ziyal about his past crimes
>S1E4 "Benediction" After following a distress signal, the Naprem makes a surprising discovery - a dominion ship piloted by a 'defective' clone of Weyoun who wishes to leave his former masters. Tensions rise as Damar and the guest do not get along
>S1E5 "Atalanta" The Naprem finds a Klingon warship in a decaying orbit around an unstable gas giant. While Dukat is reluctant to help, Kira mounts a rescue mission. This plotline would later be recycled in Star Trek: Enterprise[16]
>S1E6 "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail 2372" As Kira and Dukat try to work out their romantic encounter in the previous episode, the voyage is interrupted by a plea from Captain Sisko: return to the station to help with a crisis on Bajor
>S1E7 "All Good Drinks..." A garbled transmission leads Quark to supply the ship with ten times the amount of Kanar requested. When Damar discovers the beverage is 2327 vintage - his favorite - hilarity ensues
>>
>>69328025

>S1E8 "Clock Stopper" Kira catches Ziyal smoking. Directed by LeVar Burton
>S1E9 "Love's Labour's Lost" Weyoun and Damar get stuck in Ziyal's romantic Garak-themed holoprogram
>S1E10 "Pedigree" Dukat attempts to seduce Ziyal after he discovers false evidence planted by Kira implicating that he isn't her father. Only Damar can blow open the ruse before it's too late.
S1E11 "Near Beyond the Moon" The mirror-counterparts of the Naprem crew find themselves in the 1940s as science fiction writers. The Superintendent is brought to humility by the severe discrimination she faces for being gay.
>S1E12 "Family Matters" Ziyal finds an encrypted holoprogram of her mother hidden in the ship's computer. After using the program as an outlet to vent for weeks, Kira discovers it's another one of Dukat's porn programs.
>S1E13 "Counterintelligence" Sloane abducts Weyoun-6 for interrogation, the crew of the Naprem track him down across the quadrant because Damar refuses to leave him to his fate
>S1 finale part 1: Dukat and Kira's newfound romance is severely jeopardized when it is revealed that the Cardassian was in secret contact with the Founders, and had invited them to the Alpha Quadrant with the condition that they'd install him as leader of Cardassia
>S1 finale part 2: Damar's loyalist faction, Legate Broca's dominion faction, the Jem'Hadar, the Klingons, and the Defiant come to a standoff at the Wormhole entrance. Whoever fires the first shot may start an interquadrantal war

>S2E1 "Foresight" Lamenting the dissolution of the Naprem's crew, Dukat sells his soul to a Pah Wraith in exchange for Kira's love. Dukat finds himself in hot water, however, when the new prophecy foretelling love between Kira and Dukat turns out to be fulfilled in the Mirror Universe

So I transferred to the galaxy-famous Enterprise D recently. Before my posting was made official, I heard rumors about the renowned "eccentric" "genius" of its captain. I didn't pay much attention, I was just proud to be moving to Starfleet's flagship.

Not a dozen stardates after my arrival, I saw him, THE one and only Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Deck 17, Section 01, I was traversing a corridor towards Keiko's arboretum, and he was approaching my coordinates from the opposite end. I knew to play it cool, not make myself a fool. As he drew near, our eyes met, and I gave him a respectful nod. Rather than reciprocate, he looked down and stared at his hands, and he kept studying his hands until after he passed me. Oh well.

I thought it was my imagination, so I resolved to try again. A month later, I was walking a PADD down to Science Lab 47 and I saw him exiting a turbolift. Making so my plan to make an impression, I gave him a wave and smile. His eyes grew wide, then he spun around and ran back into the turbolift. He jabbed the "close doors" panel and was gone. Weird.

Several days ago we had our third close encounter. I was heading to Sickbay for an inspection of my reproductive organs. The doors swished open and out he came, performing a Pecker'd Maneuver on his little prick hard. Though technically afternoon, I chose to boldly go for "Good evening, sir." He ceased brushing the doctor's hair off his pants and blushed redder than his uniform. Then his eyes blazed like a warp core, shooting phaser beams into my soul. Steam was nearly billowing out his ears, and I swear I sensed the scent of earlgrayon particles wafting about.

He engaged in an impassioned tirade, something about first links forging chains, men of good conscience not ignoring personal liberties and freedom, burning away irrelevancies in crucibles, and lastly, I'm "confined to quarters until further notice".

It's been over a week and I'm still waiting for that "further notice", Cap.

Just finished watching enterprise today actually. Tbh I didn't enjoy it as much as voyager but maybe that's because it was cancelled earlier.

I really liked the blue guy he was an awesome actor.

I didn't get the second and third last episodes where the baddie clones a human/Vulcan baby, what was the point of having the baby and how did it make sense?

Enterprise had one of THE BEST episodes I have seen so far across all the series, the one called "observer effect" (season 4 ep 11)
I really enjoyed it and thought the concept was amazing.

I have just downloaded ds9 and will start watching it soon.

I was walking into the fancy rec room on my ship when I saw a familiar face inside through the automated door. My mind could not place it until I had gone through them when suddenly it hit me like a speeding shuttle full of tribbles powered by miracles.

Captain James T. Fucking Kirk.

The man himself in flesh right in front of me. I felt like I'd had a stroke as I started frantically patting myself all over trying to find my belt, trying to find my tricorder, trying to take a picture because that is what normal human beings do in such situations I think. But even though I found the tricorder 4 or 7 times my brain could not stop its frantic searching motions, could not even blink or breathe, as I slowly revolved around him and backward into a line of crew at the food synthesizers.

The whole time he smiled and smiled, and waved, and threw kisses. Not to me, he never even saw me even though I was standing not 3 feet from him. He was on his stage and playing to his audience, the rec room itself.

He was not alone, a young Vulcan was at his side. His first officer? Science officer? Diplomatic aide? T'hy'la? He saw me, never took his eyes off me. The strange man with wild eyes, patting his belt... did I have a phaser? The Vulcan quickly grabbed that shat by the arm and steered him out the door as he smiled and waved and kissed to the 3D chess section.

I will never forgive them for that ending. Never.

*Spoilers*
Not for holodecking the last episode to help the Beard resolve an issue that had NOTHING to do with the ending.

Not for dick teasing, and then just plain shitting all over the Tucker/T'Pol relationship (she barely even acted like she cared that he was gone).

And speaking of, for killing off my favorite character in such a lame ass fucking way.

The ending is shit. They all came out and said it was. Everyone felt bad about it and they should. I fucking loved the series in the beginning, but there will never be an excuse for how the chose to end it.

In the books they made it so he faked his death, but it's such a shit episode it's better to assume it didn't even happen. Riker's holodeck program was historically incorrect.

Yes, I watched it, and found it disturbing. It seemed to have two possible interpretations: one, a pulling-away-of-the-curtain revealing that the entire series was in fact Riker's simulation, the other that this was just a flawed future recreation of the specific events of that episode. The chef thing is what really throws me. Please don't make rude posts to me in the future.

It's his nose, age, and something you don't attribute to a Captain.

Picard has like the "Voice of God", Kirk has that quintessential "50's professionalism" voice, Avery has "Northern Black Reverend" voice, and Janeway has "Middle-Aged Grandma who Manages a Roadhouse in Arizona" voice.

It never bothered me too much that Archer had this natural friendliness to him because that's kind of what they were going for. But in Season 3 the voice itself subsides when he turns into a hardcore post-Quantum Leap madman.

I've never heard of Trek-legend Jeffrey Combs referred to just as "The Blue Guy".
Also, Peter Weller/JFP describes the creation of the baby as an example to be made out of what will become of humanity (which is supposed to be some sort of real life parallel to people who denounce race-mixing/miscegenation).

Which brings up another question.. Was Paxton right?
Are we living in a time similar to Terra Prime?

I saw the pilot and was so disgusted I dropped it immediately. What a fucking mistake since every first season of Star Trek is shit.
Saw it years later on Netflix and instantly regretted not sticking with the show. Probably one of my favorite Treks and now there will never be another classic Trek show, just some shitty millennial garbage that focuses on fags and laser fights.

My problem with Enterprise was that after the first couple of episodes where their technology was a bit shit it all just became standard fare technobabble bullshit (everything now suddenly just works) and conflict between races and internal character struggles. There was hardly any cool exploration.

>There was hardly any cool exploration.
Well, let's see going by what I'd consider cool exploration, they had quite a few episodes, just none involving a lot of new races or "out-there" concepts compared to say Voyager because they weren't trying to capture that, just the overall spirit of entering the galaxy, the unknown.

Best episode that fits that description from season 1 is "Silent Enemy" involving the tall glass jar head aliens that are just fucking with the crew or involved in experimentation. That was a great episode for me, all cylinders pumping away.

The problem with the first season is they didn't know how much to do with the temporal cold war "arc" in between stand alone episodes which were probably more miss than hit. But the second season seemed to be paced much for logically, even though they still seemed to be searching for a wave to ride.

Season 3 was the ultimate in cool exploration but there's at least 4-5 in each of the first two seasons where the Enterprise encounters something out of this world and is unaware whatsoever how to deal with it (even with T'Pol's Vulcan star charts and previous experience).

Another example was the friendly automated repair shop that was using stolen crewmembers' brains to fuel the stations energy and memory capacity for ship reparation.

>>
>>69346823
TNG had it's fair share of drama. Gene was not completely liked by every member of the cast and Patrick had trouble finding a way to fit in with the actors until late season 1 / season 2 coming from a more serious Shakespearian background. Pulaski found she did not fit in well with her castmastes and was outright derided by one (Sirtis if my memory serves me correctly). But after Season 2 and the return of crusher / Rick Berman taking over, I know of nothing else that was an issue.

DS9 I know very little about other than complete rumour like O'Brien and Bashir not getting along and directors / ADs having issues with Avery not wanting to do certain scenes as they saw it.

TOS I know nothing about but I'm sure Shatner's ego was in stage 2 of it's ascent towards complete hypernal mega-ass. Not to mention Gene hiring babes strictly to goad into his office.

But when it comes to Enterprise I've heard absolutely nothing except towards the end when the show was raped with "These Are The Voyages.." Jolene Blalock was also right in that they were completely half-pregnant with the Trip / T'Pol romance and it deserved a more fitting end than just a cloned Vulcan / Human baby.

It's interesting to note how closely the TNG, DS9 and VOY overlap there, because I only saw TNG "live", and the rest were not really broadcasted in my country. I only watched them years later, from DVDs. That's why they feel "more apart" in my mind.
