I've never heard people complain about Burton films and I remember when they came out
thats stupid. what's the point being shady, grim and scary if you fear of killing the enemy?
Spider-man on the other hand has true 'no-kill' code. He even pulls his punches. But doesn't even wear scary outfits (well except the venom suit).

To be fair, Batman in BvS is an older Batman who has been through some shit, so him killing people kind of makes sense for his character.
Personally, I didn't like BvS, and I thought Burton's Batmen are the best we've gotten, but the "Bat of Manslaughter" complaint just doesn't work in my opinion.
