He became frustrated and gained a sort of "I want it now" attitude, sneaking into Charlotte's bed chamber, Griffith might have recovered after a while if he hadn't been discovered, instead he was captured and tortured for a year which drove him to insanity. He could have been married to Charlotte and set to become King, instead he was in a dungeon being put through excrutiating pain, he went from the apex of human existence to the very bottom dregs, then he was given a chance to get everything back that he was lost.

The 97 anime is decent but not greatest animation wise, also it ends right after almost still during the eclipse.
Those movies they made a few years back aren't great either and get panned on /a/ for being mostly CGI however there are one or two really good 2D scenes in there.
Also new 26 episode series starting this July covering the black swordsman arc, animation looks like possibly a slightly better mix of 2d/3d but whatever.

I'm sure you have others who agree on a glorious death but I want him to live long enough to ruminate on his past. A mercy-killing is undeserved for a man who witnessed his chosen family die and still be able to form a new party of companions. He deserves to settle down. He deserves to enjoy a remainder instead of dying in his peak like so many of his ilk. It's unsatisfying to us but why not? He still feels some pride for the world that exists, even if it's been turning to shit at an even pace

Gonna be honest here and say I actually read the entire boat arc when it was completed and I actually liked it. The slow production of chapters is the main problem, but then again. Looking at the current situation of the story, I'd have a huge writer's block.

the most mystical element is still the lunar boy of casca, and the way griffith was made physical with it.
This lunar baby while possibly the elf king, most likely will be used to make griffith vulnerable, and we will have a guts + casca + friends (most sides will die/be sacrificed in next few volumes after hints were made) fight to the end. Guts likely dies for casca as casca strikes blow, guts becomes an angel/demon hyvrid and watches over casca/ the lands

That's a pretty safe bet id say. It would only be Guts and Griffith that actually knew what went down at the eclipse and Miura could do allot just by playing Casca/Guts/Griffith/Moonkid off of one another.
Personally I'm hoping for messy, fully aware Casca who then goes on to become the most fucked up character in the story.
