It is. The films themselves can be hit and miss, but the fact that it's happening at all and happening with consistent success is an unbelievable feat and, as you said, totally inconceivable when we were kids. People may meme about muh capeshit/capekino on here, but in all seriousness it's a dream come true for comic books fans, for the most part.
I always think about my six year old nephew when it comes to this because he loves superheroes like practically all children do these days, and yet he doesn't know how lucky he is, getting to experience all these movies while he's a kid and everything is still so magical to him. I mean we had it good too with the likes of Star Wars and Toy Story, but the Marvel movies must be absolutely incredible to watch as a kid.
