What does /tv/ think of the 100?

Personally, I think it's refreshing to see a TV series with so many strong female characters.

I'm beginning to lose interest. I'm glad that cunt Lexa is dead though

The characters make the dumbest fucking decisions to the point of pissing off the audience but I can't stop watching, because when this shit actually does something right, it fucking nails it.

Not really enjoying this season all that much though but I felt the same about season 2 then we got an amazing finale.

>Never get to have another boner when Clarke genocides a bunch of people ;_;
>>
>>69195357
It's been really solid since season two. The main problem I have now is that Bellamy's character makes absolutely no sense, and Pike's stuff in general makes me doubt anyone would be that stupid or go along with the stupidity. The rest of the plotlines have been great still.
>>
>>69195357

Saw two episodes.

The transition in dialogue from the first to second episode was incredibly. The first episode had some of the corniest dialogue I had ever seen in a show, which seemed to have had a complete drop in the second episode.

It's on the wrong network, too much restriction.

Hack writers that wish they were writing for GoT. Tonight we saw the Ironborn, though it's nice when they kill off the fags.
>>
A show where every single episode you bash your head into the computer screen and roll your eyes every two seconds because you know it's not the finale and the good guys will inevitably make some stupid decision to fuck everything up every episode.

Like last episode for instance, it's fucking obvious that the two techies are going to fail; as soon as you learn that they're trying to shut down the city of light, you know they're going to fail because A)Clark isn't a part of it and B)it's too soon for the main antagonist to fail, so it's mind-numbingly predictable.

Every CW show has this problem. They introduce an opportunity for the good guys to win, and you know they're not going to because it's not the finale, so you're just left wondering:
>how are they going to fuck it all up this time?

CW shows are a goddamn chore to sit through. You go through the entire season watching the main characters make stupid, irrational decisions over and over again to further the stupid predictable plot.

>>

It doesn't matter. They'll foil the good guys every episode until the finale and then die. Try not to throw your remote at the television.
>>
>>69197092

In fairness to Bellamy, Pike is right about the grounders.

Pike is just retarded about how to go about fighting them. He picks a fight when they are at a huge strategic disadvantage, lacking the food and supplies for war, instead of biding his time and playing along with the diplomacy charade.
>>
YFW clarke discovers that she has the nightblood in her now and she takes the AI which lets her reunite with Lexa

the nightblood is actually transferred between females by an ancient ritual that involves them scissoring each other
>>
>>69198690
>huge strategic disadvantage

they have guns, they took out 300 of them with no difficulty or casualties at all.
>>
>>69195357
stronk womyn: the show
>>
>>69198718

They took out 300 that weren't expecting them to attack. You think they have the ammunition to take out the Commander's entire army? They specifically mention that they don't. That's assuming that the army actually fights and doesn't just starve them out.

Pay attention bruh.
>>
>>69198760
they have stockpiles of ammo under the mountain plus there are supply depo's everywhere. They have exactly as much ammo as the writers want to give them.
>>
>>69198619
They could have other tribes invade from middle america
>>
>>69198787

The mountain that got blown the fuck up? And the writers didn't give them enough. Hence when they mention that they don't have enough.

What the fuck kind of argument are you even making.
>>
>>69198831
the argument is that events have no weight, if the writers wanted them to be in a stand-off they would just magically have all the ammo they needed. Also, why would they use their last rounds of ammo provoking an enemy? isn't that just a bit retarded?
>>
Why did they make Harper a slut
>>
>>69198868

So are you saying we should judge Pike's actions on the basis of things the writers didn't have happen?

In that case, his strategy was awesome because of that sick Unicorn Calvary they had. Grounders would have never seen it coming.
>>
>>69198894
Pike's actions are illogical because the writer's disagree with his political stance.
>>
>>69198929
This.

Every male leader in this show has been shown to be impulsive, irrational, cruel, and uncompromising.

Meanwhile the female leaders are portrayed as strong, diplomatic, respected, and selfless.
>>
>>69198971

Maybe if you ignore all the shitty female grounder leaders, and you ignore that Kane is a good leader. Hell, they literally depicted him as Jesus on the cross last episode.

Seems like a lot of mental gymnastics to make your "MUH SJW SHOW" argument work.
>>
>>69199117
it's more about the muh open borders let's all get along philosophy that the entire main cast has despite the fact that the grounders continually betray and fuck them.

Kane's philosophy makes total sense so they made him go crazy and the 300 to make him seem like the bad guy.

>>
>>69199117
Both female grounder leaders were willing to compromise before men fucked it up.

Kane fucked up hardcore season 1 and had to go through the typical "im so sorry I suck such guilt sorry I should have listened to the girls" storyline before he became tolerable. Also, he submitted to the chip while on that cross.

>>69199158
Every time there is a massacre on this show it's 300 people. They're obsessed with that number.

>Both female grounder leaders were willing to compromise before men fucked it up.

The only female grounder leader willing to compromise was Lexa, and only because she was in lesbians with Clarke. Indra went along with it begrudgingly.

Ontari is bad, the Ice Queen was bad, Anya was bad.

Clarke and her mom are really the only reasonable female leaders on the show, and her mom is a pretty shitty leader most of the time.
>>
>it's a luna's a cunt episode

Also Diana Sydney was shitty, on the Ark side of things.

Lots of bad female leaders to choose from. Take your pick.

>>
>>69199358
>Indra went along with it begrudgingly.
Because even though she didn't like it she knew it was the right thing to do because she was a good leader that made hard decisions.

>Ontari
She's not even a leader, she's a puppet.
>Ice Queen
She was there for what, one or two episodes?
>Anya
Anya was willing to compromise before a man started shooting

Good or bad though, you have to admit there is a jarringly large amount of female leaders on this show, good or bad. I've never seen a show force so many female leaders, I mean think about it. Clarke, her mom, every single grounder leader, the AI, etc.

Kane is literally the only "good" male leader the show has had, and even he was practically a villain in season 1. Bellamy was clearly written to be hated, the mountain leaders were disney evil, Pike is written to be hated, it's such ham-fisted sjw nonsense.

I'm suppose to believe that a post-apocalyptic society is completely free of sexism and racism? That, despite our own historical records indicating that such societies would be patriarchal and racist, these societies are a sjw's wet dream?

please, this show tries way to hard to be progressive, to a fault.
>>
>>69199612
oh, and let's not forget our two heroic female side characters, the "smartest engineer/hacker/genius in the worst" and the "stronk female with a sword and epic fighting skills."

>Anya was willing to compromise before a man started shooting
Doubtful, more likely she just wanted to assess her adversaries, or even ambush them at the meeting, considering how she acts later in the show.

>the mountain leaders were disney evil
President Wallace was pretty fucking reasonable, considering the situation his people were in. His son was mustache-twirlingly evil though.

>our own historical records indicating that such societies would be patriarchal and racist
Their society was started by a woman with a godlike AI in her head, why do you think they would patriarchal?

why...the "plot," of course...

>>69199783
>considering how she acts later in the show.

All signs-besides a momentary betrayal on the escape- showed her slowly becoming more cooperative with clarke until she died.

>President Wallace was pretty fucking reasonable, considering the situation his people were in
You mean capturing people and going full vampire on them in a secret lair? Or when he helped his soon outsmart Clarke, or when he died helping his devil child? The guy was evil from the start and reeked of "old white man that made evil decisions and is now living with the guilt of being an old evil white man" trope

>Their society was started by a woman with a godlike AI in her head, why do you think they would patriarchal?

Because their society, like all tribal societies, are based on strength. This society in particular literally uses deathmatches to choose the next leader in a tournament-esque ascension ritual. Women aren't strong. Women can't fight men, they're weaker and smaller, this is biology. And yet every grounder female leader is a badass karate master that can beat up groups of men. This propaganda campaign that "womyn can be stronk fighters too!!!11" makes me sick to my stomach.

Don't even give me the "ronda rousey" argument either, you don't see that bitch in a cage with a man.

>>

Hollywood likes to have it's cake and eat it too. They want to show stronk female characters, but they also don't want to actually give strong-looking women roles in their shows and movies. If you're going to have a strong female character, cast an actual strong-looking woman with muscle tone and weight on her. But no, you want your sex appeal AND strength, which simply doesn't mesh in reality.

Hollywood always casts 110 pound models in all their roles and they expect me not to facepalm when they show them beating up 200+ pound men.

I'm glad Clarke is going to be Heda. I like it when she's in charge, even when she's wrong just because she makes strong decisions. Plus it'll be interesting to see if the other clans bow to her at all.
