> Part of Ben Affleck’swork ontheJustice Leaguefilm will include participatinginthe post productionphase with director Zack Snyder and the film’s editing team.
>Affleck will also assist screenwriter Chris Terrio in rewrites to theJustice Leaguescript, partly to help better align theJustice Leaguefilm with Affleck’s solo Batman project — which I hear is tentatively expected to release in 2018.
>executive producing
>overseeing the editing
>rewriting the script
>directing solo Batman for Fall 2018
Where where you when Batgod saved the DC Universe just like in the comics and cartoons?
>>69193473
can he not just direct the fucking thing?
honestly they should just fire Zach Snyder
>DCucks recycling the same damage control
Remember when Terrio and Bin Al-Affliq were suppose to save BvS with script rewrites?
The funny thing is this thread will still get unironic BASED AFFLECKs by DCucks with the memory of goldfish
>>69193473
He didn't save BVS with his rewrites so I don't care.
>>69193511
They can't. His wife is exec producer and in charge of dc's films. The ride never ends.

>>69193573
He never rewrote that.
Dance off bro
>>69193473
I have really high hopes for this. The two of them together should be able to retain Zack's vision and Ben can hopefully make it more accessible.
>>69193669
>grasping this hard
>>69193690
Who would ever want to retain Hack's vision? It's garbage.
>>69193695
Nah, I'm just glad /v/ has invaded so that finally Aliens-haters can be put into the contrarian circle, like those actually putting alien 3 above it
>>69193473
Sounds like they think Zack's a retard by having Ben shadow him. Doesn't look like WB's confident in him. Fucking hilarious
>>69193733
I respect your right to an opinion.
>>69193739
>Comparing a 1% difference to a 69% difference
Let's just say Snyder'a schlock doesn't fall in the margin of error
>>69193507
But then we wouldnt get our religious symbolism
>>69193779
They should have just left it alone and not tried to market it as a dumb blockbuster.
>>69193669
Alien is better
>>69193812
It's OK. I'm sure there will be plenty of other things in them for you to not understand.
>>69193779
>think
They know, everybody knows, even the capekino contrarians know. People pretended to not know and we got BvS. It's about time we admit we have a problem.
>>69193473
Why does Affleck look so drained in this pic?
All I want is a good JL movie.
>>69193836
Not according to the nu-/tv/ rule
>>69193861
He's realizing his worst fears of being in yet another big name capecrash.
>>69193817
Honestly it doesn't seem like Zack has his heart in it. Having Ben Affleck and other producers breathing down your neck because your previous films weren't well received has to suck.
>>69193966
I can't really blame him. Corporate morons gave him carte blanche and then thought they could just cut it to pieces and dumbasses will hold him responsible for their bad decisions,
I'd have been fine with a smaller budget 4-hour epic that they weren't so eager to push out there as a blockbuster. They could have done that, but they were stupid.
>>69193966
exec plebs are the ones who made him sacrifice his kino by removing 30 minutes of footage.
>>69193817
>Revisionist DCucks
It was never marketed as a dumb blockbuster until after the first weekend where it was >29% but still making money. Then the suits were all "haha people don't really care about reviews they just want a fun weekend movie experience we make these for the fans :)"
Before that it was fartsmellery from all the cast and Snyder as "probably too smart for the average audience goer".
>>69194058
you literally cannot understand budgeting behind this stuff is literally an investment vehicle, they cannot go small.
>>69193966
>Honestly it doesn't seem like Zack has his heart in it.
I disagree. Watch this video on the making of the batmobile chase.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jo9MbpMY9ng
Looks like Zack spends more of his time on Batman than he did for Superman (Superman scenes more cgi, Batman scenes less cgi) so he definitely did care about making Affleck look really excellent on the screen.
>>69194157
No, every add I saw for it hyped the fight. That's the essence of a dumb blockbuster.
What you're talking about came out mere weeks before release in the aftermath of an ad campaign that stretched back over at least 6 months.
If anyone guilty of having a selective memory, it's you.
>>69194188
I hope he keeps heart. I think I see what he's doing with the characters and I'm a fan of it,
>>69194122
>Already long and drawn out bad movie would have been improved by even more garbage plotlines and a longer run time
This is why you guys are shitposting on 4chan and not producing movies. Then again WB is so inept you guys might actually be able to do a better job.
What BvS needed was about half the bloat removed, not even more bloat added.
The most hilarious thing is a 2 and a half hour BATMAN VS SUPERMAN movie had about 7 minutes of actual Batman VS Supermaning, and it all took place in a grimy abandoned bathroom like it was a Taken movie.
Now on the DVD we'll get a 3 hour Batman VS Superman movie with still only 7 minutes of Batman VS Superman
>>69194290
me too. I love his vision of how he made Superman and Batman to be; dark with problems just like us.
>>69193473
I want to see this movie just to see what a executive meddle'd clusterfuck it is.
>>69193511
>pretending to be a tap
>>69193473
Tell that to Zod's snapped neck.
>>69193669
No /tv/ does not use RT now. The avatarfag uses it for shitposting because he knows it is an invalid mechanism that other idiots think means something.
>>69194307
Ah, A thousand pardons. I was under the impression you were shitposting just like us.
Think I'll just completely disregard your opinion, if that's OK with you, I mean, I wouldn't want to offend you and your clear expertise or anything, so I just wanted to make sure I had your expert opinion on my opinion before I concluded the conversation,
>>69194188
That's just it. He cares more about Batman. They should have just given him the bat property because his superman is lackluster.
>>69194290
>>69194309
Yeah I'm on board with what he's doing with the characters, but how he's doing it from a filmaking perspective is what bothers me. BvS simply had too many short scenes and they jumped all over the place. He needed to cut some scenes and make the remaining ones longer to let everything sink in.
>>69194377
MoS was far from lackluster for me. I honestly think the focus on Batman was because this was originally intended to establish him more as a character before moving forward.
Clark's basically still dealing with something of an existential crisis in the background while Lex and Bruce are the prime movers.
>>69193864
heard wan was dropping out of the project
>>69194475
Don't think that's confirmed. I'm hoping it's just a nasty rumor.
>>69194475
>>69194521
debunked already. Wan posted on twitter
>>69194554
Glad to hear it.
So, you guys think they're going to try to make Kryptonians the catch-all explanation for metahumans?
>>69194455
Clark shouldn't be dealing with an existential crisis. He's in his 30s and lacks his own convictions. It comes off as a weak attempt at adding substance to a character when it's not followed through properly. Besides the character never being like this in the comics, it drags him down and doesn't provide a sound opportunity for the average viewer to empathize.
>>69193507
Contracts.
>>69193573
Get a trip already.
>>69194389
Wait for the 3 hour uncut version. Seriously it will sort all this stuff out.
The movie was originally 4 hours btw hence all those cuts you are saying is due to editors trying to make the film a theatrical pace.
>>69193669
this.
Fuck /tv/
>>69194801
>giving supes more depth than he had in the comics is a bad thing
this is why you're not in charge of capekino
>>69194801
Well, I look at it like this: holding down a job and playing the occasional "guardian angel" wouldn't merit an existential crisis, but being outed to the world as our first contact with an extraterrestrial would bring challenges all its own.
I think what we see of him in BvS is him processing his guilt from the Battle of Metropolis and trying to figure out how to dispel the cult-like worship that some people seem really ready to give him.
I honestly think he was contemplating pulling a fade right up until Lex forced his hand, and it wasn't until the very last moments of the Doomsday fight that he really committed to and re-affirmed himself to the role of hero.
>>69193473
>extrinsic protagonist
>DC meta-capekino
how can marvelfags compete? even more quips?
>>69194899

Stay BTFO.
it's sad because i like zack snyder.
the world just isn't ready for kino
>>69195177
I'm baffled that people praise this film school-tier cinematography.
>>69195201
What can I say? I like his style.
>>69194899
I honestly don't think it will. Remember all of Jenna Malone's scenes were cut, and she's playing Barbara Gordon. That alone will probably make 1/3rd of the new footage.
>>69195174
>implying we're mad
Keep projecting.
>>69195289
Of course you are mad.
You spent like 1 month in damage control mode over BvS, and now the same about Civil War.
>>69195264
You know? Considering that she's Oracle, her scenes probably contain a ton of exposition.
>>69195351
And not one of those posts is mine. Learn to account for the possibility there's more than one person who doesn't agree with you, or how you present yourself on this board.
>>69195264
She could just be a character in the Gotham Police Department or something and maybe Clark meets her during the investigation scenes that are cut
>>69193473
WHERE ARE THE DAILIES SNYDER
>>69193573
There was literally nothing wrong with BvS's script.
>>69194899
Synder is responsible.
Last I heard he himself was pushing for a shorter more manageable running time. At any rate, the final product is a fucking mess. He does some great visuals a lot of the time, and I likes watchmen a lot, but BvS was a god damn that I wouldn't pay for.
>>69195533
I'm amazed it survived the cuts as intact as it did. The only plot element I've never been able to make complete sense of was the bullets.
>>69195107
Do you know how to read? The film doesn't give the character depth at all. Holy fuck.
>>69195177
>>69195201
Aesthetically, Snyder's movies perfectly capture the feel of comic books. Problem is, comics are shit.
>>69195623
Not all of them, but I understand where you're coming from.
>>69195128
That's all very nice but nowhere in the film does it confirm that's actually the case. He defended himself when Lois told him what people were saying about him after the incident in africa even going as far as saying it didn't matter what they thought.

That's true, but that's still ducking responsibility on his part. Fact of the matter is it very much does matter what they think when one of their own citizens is essentially a world superpower in his own right.
>>69195804
I have such high hopes.
I'm off to bed, but it's been a nice read and nice talking to you all.

>>69193507
Honestly it's sounding more and more like he kind of is. He's gonna Costner Justice League into something presentable.
>>69193624
The only fucking good parts of BvS are the solo batman shit with Alfred. Literally the only footage worth a goddamn in the movie is the shit that Ben rewrote and fixed.
>>69193685
>Creepily doxxing some spectrum disorder dude for liking a company that you don't like.
>DCucks.
Seriously m8 get fucked. You're goddamn cancer.
Punished Ben will save us.
