There are literally 5 types of Korean movies:
- Lighthearted comedies or romantic comedies featuring tons of beautiful women with tons of plastic surgery, or some sort of gimmick (fat suit, granny, cute guy is gay)
- Revenge thrillers - guy with hat gets revenge after a female acquaintance is brutally murdered
- Korean gangster films. Pretty formulaic too. Guy joins a gang, makes his way up the ranks, ends up betraying his fellow friends
- Films about North Korea
