Why aren't movies reviewed like video games? It's a technical medium as well.

>This movie was filmed with a IMAX mk2 camera set to 60fps which greatly enhanced the background clarity; the sound was recorded on Dolby Dre subwoofers which in turn provided the perfect pitch when transmitted through in-built Sony Quadriton television speakers. It's worth noting that the movie is best viewed on at least a 40 inch television with room lighting being as low key as possible. Now, the FOV that the director opted for leaves a lot to be desired, however the key grip did an outstanding job with the dolly, emphasizing fluidity even with frequent cutting done in Adobe Premier Pro. Digital filter chosen for the flashback scenes is sepia beige 3 and it provided a welcome change for otherwise too vibrant of coloration characteristic for 50mm lenses used here.

Because film critics lack knowledge. Not only about tech stuff, but often also about film in general. Many even top critics are able to discuss only literary aspects of a movie.

I'd say that Rotten Tomatoes and similar sites are just another way to push cultural marxism on public through careful picking of critics taken into account for the overall metascore.

So you can have a movie that gets 20% fresh rating right off the bat because someone said a doubleplus ungood word.

>This painting was painted using 25mm rowan hand-crafted brushes, which clearly comes across in the precise brushwork. The paint was a mixture of oil-based eggshell paint and watercolours which really adds to the vibrancy.
>A solid 154cmx90cm makes a really unusual canvas highlighting the unusual subject matter. The artist has chosen to include their signature in the bottom left hand corner
>A palette of mostly blues and oranges creates a distinct visual image. Of course, we all know the painting's troubled history, produced between the two world wars. But this hasn't affected the overall quality too much. There is, however, the odd hint of German nationalism shining through. But that's to be expected.

More proof that /v/edditors are cancer and should be contained to their own board.

In the same way that subject matter and composition are more interesting in photos than rambling autistically about camera settings.

Because most film critics lack the technical knowledge to undertake such reviews, as do most audiences. You might find a niche doing that for technical trade magazines, if they somehow wanted to carry reviews, though.
>>
>>69181556
People don't review plays by only talking about the lighting settings and other technical aspects. Nobody outside the industry really cares. Filmmaking is a medium whereby people tell stories and make works of art. The camera type and settings are just a tool by which people make the things that viewers actually want to discuss.

Shit video game critics and shit movie critics are pretty alike. There are just much more good movie criticis than there are video game critics.
