Yes, everything about the people inside of the Wayne building was fucking retarded, no argument from me, but I think it's redeemable because with small changes it could have been very good all the way through. I think there's good character stuff happening with Bruce, the scene is one of the few in the movie that actually lets the audience settle into a location and lets the scene develop, and some of the iconography is really fucking cool. Blatant trailer shot, but Bruce running into the dust cloud while everyone else runs away was really, really striking and cool.
But yes, Bruce having to tell that guy to get people to get out of the building while he just casually watches an alien machine tear up a literal city block was retarded.
