I like Vikings a lot, but I can't help but think it's about 75% as good as it could be if it were on HBO or Starz. A bigger budget and more leniency with what they could show would go a long way. The fight sequences tend to be the most boring parts of the show for me. Imagine the fucking Blood Eagle episode on HBO. Jesus Christ.

I teared up when I found out that Andy will die, he seemed as a good guy. I'm watching Vikings and The Last Kingdom but they aren't as good.
Out of all the dead characters I missed Batiatus the most.

Truly an amazing show. The first few episodes are hard to watch, but after the story gets going, it's some of the best TV out there.

I took that pretty hard too, for the same reason. That was cool of Starz to shoot the prequel while he was in treatment. A lot of companies would just replace someone immediately. Also, props to Liam McIntyre for being able to fill the role about as well as anyone could. That was a tough spot to be in.

Episode 4 is where I thought the show really started to show what it can do. Think of it in terms of spartacus. Once it gets going, it doesn't fucking stop.
Currently the only show I'm following on tv and the story is fucking excellent (season 2 in particular).
