I've thought X-Men to be perhaps the only interesting superhero series out there but judging by how unmemorable the new movies have been and how terrible the trailer for this one looks, it's all gone. Days of Future Past: Becomes a renegade mutant with an agenda, uses her shapeshifting abilities to spy and infiltrate. Whenever she's not trying to blend in, she shows her true "mutant and proud) persona. Stops being neither Charles' nor Erik's flagship girl at the end of the movie. She abandons the reactive "mutant and proud" creed.
X-Men Apocalypse: From what the trailers show (and from the end of DOFP), she's probably undercover at the Weapon X facility, posing as Stryker, experimenting on Logan. Then she discovers Apocalypse and how he has brainwashed Erik. Goes back to Charles and joins him again. She decides to be Raven again.
So to sum up, there's a reason for her not to be blue in every fucking scene, and figuring out why isn't difficult if you pay little attention; and don't even bring Rebecca Romijn into this because back then, she wasn't more than her blue paint job, she was barely a character. Lawrence, as obnoxious as she is, is way more developed as a character.
Sure, the script was probably shaped around Lawrence's necessities and demands but in hindsight, it works.
