I think the atmosphere, acting, and music were all good or great. This had all the ingredients to be great, but the plot was poor. It was mis-marketed as horror to make more money.
It tied the family members to individual sins, but to what end? The plot had no purpose or drive. If the meaning of the movie was meant to be that the family themselves were the evil, then why the supernatural?
Ultimately the film felt like wasted potential. I feel like it either should have tried to make a point, or been more entertaining, or more terrifying. It needed to be something more than atmosphere.
