I watched the first season and found it decently enjoyable but not enough that I bothered to watch the second season. I hated every scene that Dorian Gray was in, though. He felt like a completely pointless character and existed solely to force unnecessary sex scenes into the show, and it was incredibly obnoxious how these cool, interesting characters turn into puddles every time they're interacting with him. Frankenstein's creature also annoyed me, and seemed to exist solely to barge in while actual interesting plots were going on and to interfere. Eva Green totally makes the show, and the best episode of season 1 was the one that went into her backstory.

I think Season 2 is much stronger and not as slow as S1. S2 deals with a group of witches trying to take down Sir Malcolm and his crew, all the side plots are good EXCEPT the one with Dorian Gray which feels like LGBT pandering.

I've been watching the show since it first aired. I absolutely loved S1. Every episode revealed more about the characters and the worlds or had some cool historical tie-in. S2 however felt really bland in terms of writing and character development. And the plot moved so slow that it seemed nothing was happening at times.
