I think they're going to keep failing every time the fairy tale movie centers around a fairy tale war. If they took traditional drama formulas and applied them to fairy tale settings i think people would be more interested in seeing them. When each fantasy movie is a massive war between royals and/or plebians of the land, the pattern is now overtly obvious and mundane. Just my opinion.
