i seriously think Half Life would be a good idea for a movie.
whos supposed to play Gordon and direct such movie? marchandise would be huge
>>69095991
First time I see breaking bad cover, I thinking it was a half life show
>>69095991
I disagree.
It's fine as a game though.
>>69095991
in b4 Idris Elba
Nighy, it's obvious.
>>69095991
>i seriously think Half Life would be a good idea for a movie.
Why?
>whos supposed to play Gordon and direct such movie?
Who cares? Anyone could play him. He's a fucking mute who doesn't utter a single word during the entire series. He's just a placeholder and surrogate for the player.
No. They have to change so much for the movie format, unless they wanted to go the Hardcore Henry route, but that would have a very small audience just as HH did.
Just stick to pleading for Half-Life 3.

the rumors that director JJ Abrams might get involved in the production;
>>69096171
More than a rumour. https://youtu.be/2-2Ay9myBmI?t=64
Peter O'Toole would have been a based Gman
>>69096034
kek
me too
>>69095991
I'd prefer an Opposing Force movie where you might see big G briefly.
I never understood why people said Half Life had such a good story. It's a typical alien invasion story.
>an experiment went wrong, and now aliens are coming to our world
I've seen this a hundred times before. What's so new about it?
>>69095991
Gordon Freeman is boring as shit and his story doesn't have any real kind of arc to it, just a series of jobs he's got to do, while to provide context he gets talked at and congratulated every 15 minutes.
A movie might work if they made it about Barry or something, make it a 70s low-budget style survival movie about losing control of Black Mesa and trying not to get fucked by inter-dimensional horrors. I could see it working as an Assault on Precinct 13 with monsters type thing, with a small cast of maybe a few guards and scientists with maybe one or two wild-cards trying not to die. It could be a siege type-scenario or a Poseidon Adventure constantly moving type deal.

This is like one of those exceptions of a game using it's format to it's fullest potential. It's better left being what is. It would be incredibly hard to adapt to a movie without it loosing it's core essence.
>>69096408
The people that say it's a good story have video games as their primary medium. They have no standards at all.
>>69095991
>marchandise would be huge
Gordan Freeman was the only action figure made
>>69096607
Plus technically the headcrabs
>>69095991
gyllenhlaal as gordon
cranston as gman, or perhaps spacey. maybe cristpopher walken
>>69098542
those are terrible choices
>>69095991
Scot Ross, of course.
Gabe is just printing money now with hats, he has no reason to do anything further with half life
>>69095991
1. It's not a good idea for a movie
2. JewJew will make it anyway.
3. Breakingbad dude should NOT be Gordon Freeman, GF is supposed to be fresh out of MIT.
4. Only Ty Burrel could play Gman
>>69098628
what are better ones
>>69096115
>Nighy as G Man
Don't even think a half life movie would be that great but I'd pay to see it twice if they got him.
It is actually the easist game to adapt, if you mix it HL/Opposing Force/Blue Shift
>>69099103
Keep it simple, senpai
>>69098944
I was with you till 4.
>tfw just want a BJ Blazkowicz Hitler Assassination movie
