Back to your room, grandpa. Residents aren't allowed out past 7:00, you know that.

Spectre wasn't even as good as Quantum of Solace. That's saying something. It's also nearly an hour longer and OH IT SHOWS.

Sounds about right, to be honest. I expected Spectre to be a lot worse, considering the backlash and production history. It's a decent action flick, completely unmemorable and cliché but it does its job. CGI credits are incredibly ugly. The plot is retarded but the actual pacing and tone is quite pleasant, cinematography is above average. Casino Royale is derivative post-Bourne mediocrity with a metosexual Bond. Deakins is the only good thing about Skyfall, otherwise it's more boring and stupid than Spectre. QoS is an abysmal piece of shit, with catastrophic editing. Bond fans are typically retarded, it's a trashy franchise without a single genuinely good movie, but they take it so seriously. The Broccolis are awful producers who don't care about Fleming's spirit or making meaningful movies, just keep churning out safe products/cars ads following the same formula, pandering to whatever's popular and PC at the time.
They turned a couple of small-scale but exotic pulpy movies into tentpole by-the-numbers action blockbusters. It's a franchise ran by producers, with the aim of making money, not by creative people, with the aim of telling stories. Early Bonds are only good because Young was a decent filmmaker who had creative freedom, they had tasteful music and interesting art design, and fresh takes on spy stories for the era. Those got replaced by uninspired art direction, whatever music was trendy at the time, formulaic plots and just overall soulless craft & hack filmmaking.
When you look at the evolution of the Bond franchise, you look at the evolution of cinema since the 60's (and therefore western society in general), of rather its decline, in terms of creativity and craftsmanship, tonal freedom, sense of entertainment, political meaning, etc.
You can make the same observations by comparing crime films, westerns, etc. it's just more obvious with Bond.
How it stays relevant while Bourne and MI series exist today is beyond me. Even UNCLE was better.

Pretty spot on. Skyfall gets a lot of love, but I really hated the third act.

Is it multiple people posting this in every Bond thread, or is it just one autist?
I'm genuinely curious.
